Same sex marriages are now legal in California :o) I know this news is already a few hours old but... Yay! Thank you, thank you Supreme Court... You're alright after all :o)

None at all. It was banned right across the country in 2004. We're so far behind other countries in that department. The current goverment which we elected last year is against marriage, but will be changing everything else.

Well, from what I have read and been able to understand. They will be changing all 60 or 70 laws against same sex couples, such as health, housing etc, they will be classed as de facto.
