You guys
I am like
so proud of myself:
on Sunday I made muffins from scratch
YES SCRATCH[1]
BE AMAZED
COZ LIKE
I BURN SOUP
ALSO CEREAL
SO BAKING THAT'S EDIBLE
KIND OF AN ACCOMPLISHMENT
RIGHT?
RIGHT.
Except
these are not ordinary muffins
they have blueberries
and golden flax seeds
and lemon rind in them
Also I exchanged the white flour in the recipe
with my Dad's multigrain bread flour [2]
so you know
these are basically
SUPERMUFFINS.
I would even go as far as to say they are
AWESOMEMUFFINS.
DID I MENTION THEY ARE EDIBLE
Okay okay
You are all probably like
Wtf is she bragging about
I mean it's not like I can email you guys muffins
Plus I wouldn't
nothing against any of you but
these are actually pretty good
and there aren't a lot left
Maybe I will post the recipe later
If you guys are like
as into these muffins as I am
Anyways
I have a question for you sassy cats
BEARING IN MIND THE SOUP-BURNING ISSUE
AND THE FACT THAT MOST OF MY SMALL APPLIANCES COMMIT HATA KIRI
WHEN I WALK IN THE KITCHEN
(that is like Japanese suicide
except most of my appliances are Cuisinarts
so it would be American-brand Japanese suicide
Which is probably a bit like 4Kids)
These awesomemuffins
Well I imagine they're pretty healthy
Blueberries are a superfood or something
I dunno
Plus who eats flax for fun
But the recipe calls for half a cup of white sugar
And that is not-so-super
Basically I am concerned about all these refined-white things in my muffins
Some lady posted about Clean Eating in here earlier
And like
That's pretty cool
I've been wanting to cut back on white sugar for a while now
But I am concerned that simply leaving out the sugar may turn these awesomemuffins
Into not-as-awesome muffins
Or you know
goo
Help a cuisine-challenged sister out here
What are the best
EASIEST[3]
Clean-Eating sugar alternatives for baking?
And if someone says "splenda" they get fired
like gtfo
Except with Donald Trump's voice
and haircut[4]
Thanks
Teh
[1] Well not totally scratch. There was a cookbook involved. But no mix!
[2] I assume because there is 'multigrain' in the title that this flour is somehow healthier.
[3] As in, "My five year old ADHD sister with one arm couldn't screw this up!"
[4] Not really but I'd prefer natural alternatives.
TL;DR-- blah blah muffins; what are the best/easiest Clean-Eating sugar alternatives for baking?
