~ First Strike for Justice! ~ Arrival/Accidental Voice Post/Open for Action

[The sounds of leaves rustling in the breeze, the backdrop of noise in the woods soft and calm. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. That is until an aching hiss, the ground shifting as someone attempts to sit up.]

Ow, ow, ow...what happened? Did I pass out ag-... [A startled gasp interrupts the words.] My arm! It's fixed, it's not broken anymore!

[Lina knows that voice.

Lina remembers that this particular princess had a broken arm the last time they met...was it really two months ago? Luceti really has messed with her sense of time. But now is not the time to worry about that. Now is the time to race for the door, tugging her journal off the table as she passes, and call into it loud enough for the princess to hear.]

Ameliaaaaaaa! Hey, Amelia! Quit poking the wings! They sting like hell for the first couple of days!

[The voice makes the girl jump, sounding startled as she tries to locate the source of the voice. She of course recognised it, but as she turned around, all the princess could see were trees everywhere she looked.]

M-Miss Lina? Miss Lina is that you? Where are you?

Yeah, it's me! Hi! I'm in the village, but I'm on my way! Where are you?

I...have no idea. It looks like a forest, I can't see anything or anyone.

Yep! There's a huge forest around the village. Huge. Takes even me a while to fly across it.

[And with that, she's in the air, soaring over the rooftops.]

Got it! [She snaps her fingers triumphantly.] Send a spell up into the sky! I'll fly right over!

Well, okay, if you say so Miss Lina.

[And in a few moments, Lina would be able to spot a small orb of light rising up from a clearing near the center of the woods.]

[A delighted gasp is her reply as soon as the light reaches Lina's gaze.] I see it! Hang on, Amelia, I'm coming in!

[Amelia would be advised to pay attention from there, as her only warning before Lina collides with Amelia for a tight, enthusiastic hug will be the sound of her name, growing slowly louder.]

[Amelia waited, watching the orb as it disppeared above the canopy. She still hadn't grasped where Lina's voice was coming from, but...]

[Wait, not it was come from the side, and above her? How?]

[There wasn't much chance for her to think about it, as suddenly she turned and found herself being squeezed in a strong hold, the ache in her back now worse.]

Owowow! Miss Lina...t-too tight...

[The hug continues on for a few seconds more before Lina pulls away, a pensive frown on her face as she gives Amelia a once over, focusing especially on the wings.]

Wait? What the heck am I saying? It sucks to see you! That means that our only chance of being rescued is Gourry or Pokota, for goodness sake!

[Glad to be released, Amelia awkwardly stretches her arms around her back, intending to use Recovery on the worst sore spots to ease the pain.]

You just saw me before I woke up here. And what do you mean rescue? What exactly is going on here Miss Lina?

[Lina prods Amelia lightly in the chest.] Yeah, well, you saw me before I woke up here. It's been a couple of months since then.

Welcome to Luceti. How do you like the wings? [Her own flutter lightly behind her cloak.]

Huh? How can that be, that's not possible right?

Luceti...? [She opened her mouth to say more before noticing the fluttering behind the cloak, leaning closer to inspect the other girls wings.] You have wings too Miss Lina? Does that mean everyone here gets them?

Yep. [Lina pulls her cloak back so Amelia can get a better look at the black and gold feathers.] Everybody. Free wings on arrival. Bet they hurt a bunch, huh? Don't worry, mine were a pain in the neck when I first got here. Well, they're still a pain in the neck now, but they don't hurt.

[She smiled admiring the shimmering gold and black feathers.] They're really pretty, they suit you Miss Lina.

I wonder why we get them though... [Turning her attention back to her own wings, she just managed to bend an arm behind her back. Hissing softly, she barely reached the sore spot in order to use a spell to soothe the ache a little.]

[Lina smiled brightly.] You really think so? Hey, thanks, I...would you cut that out?! [She reached over to catch Amelia's arm as the princess reached behind her back again.] I told you to stop touching them!

[On feeling the hold on her arm and hearing the scolding tone of Lina's voice, the princess pouted, looking rather guilty.] I was only trying to make them hurt a bit less...
