things that caught my attention today

If you'd asked me, before JD Salinger died, if I thought he was still alive, I'd have said no. So, congrats, Mr. Salinger, on no longer having to worry about people trying to interview you or take your picture. I have to wonder, though, whether his estate will be as vigilant about protecting his privacy, whatever unpublished stuff he may have, and his limited published oeuvre as he was.

The Sincerest form of Lawsuit Bait from the Week in Review in the New York Times around when Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was all the rage.

Incidentally, I've seen the title of Wide Sargasso Sea any number of times without knowing that it was a different POV of Jane Eyre. I think the last time I read Jane Eyre was 20 years ago, because I had to for school, so I don't suppose I'm missing much.

I'm assuming that anyone who already uses google docs knows this already, since there was a popup thinger, but you can upload files and share them with people, without converting them to google documents Neat.

I had a sandwich for lunch, which was for some bizarre reason a panini made with a baguette. I think I cut the roof of my mouth on the bread a few times.

3 (hopefully) days to real internet access again!
