I would be most honoured to attend. My duties at the school might not permit me to arrive for the events of the morning, but I will certainly endeavour to arrive before the luncheon is served. My dear Felty,
How are you, dear heart? It is wonderful it is to hear from you. The last I knew you were somewhere in Romania, and something tells me that that was almost four years ago. But seeing as how your mother never tells me anything about any of you children, I suppose I should consider myself fortunate to hear word of your general whereabouts in the first place.
If you have the time to chaperone your doddering old cousin (though I don't mind in the least if you call me great-aunt, because 'first cousin twice removed' is quite a mouthful for anyone) around the town, I would be more delighted to have the company. In fact, I think my Headmistress would prefer it if you stayed close beside me at all times -- things have been rather unsettled in Britain of late, as I'm sure you've heard. Your English is probably better than my German by now, so I'm certain you've been reading the papers and keeping up with all the international news that tends to pass me by.
Give my love to Finna and the others, and tell your mother to write me more often. She won't listen, but tell her anyway.
