Jill had set herself up on the third floor of the treehouse with an office of sorts; it gave her somewhere quiet to work on her thesis, Bob being her only company.
That, of course, meant that she didn't have to worry about Cassie. She didn't know what to do with the other girl, if she should just ignore it, confront her- it ate at her, but she threw herself whole-heartedly into her work so she wouldn't have to think about it. From where she sat on the floor, she was surrounded by stacks of books, papers clipped together that were covered in neat script.
She was still trying to figure things out. Still needed space. She'd seen Tim and Bart (and Dick) after she'd gotten home Christmas night, given them the small gifts she'd put together.
Apparently, Conner Kent was here. She heard him, before he vanished into his room with Cassie. Of course he knew Cassie. Honestly, she wondered if everyone was going to show up - even the person that Cassie had been so certain that she was replacing.
She'd kept to herself, kept working much the way she had whenever she was home since what had become The Incident when she thought about it. Sometimes she let her horse just walk for hours, ending up in the Compound or all the way in Summerfell, when she had Christmas with the Starks and Pevensies.
But for today, she read and worked and it probably wouldn't be worth anything, but it was something to do while her mind raced and she wondered what he'd think of her. If it mattered, really. She'd keep doing what she was, probably. She was a Titan, no matter what people said. No matter what happened.
She sighed heavily, and flipped a page.
