[Coming to after a Mallynap tends to be pretty disconcerting. Especially when you wake up with a letter resting neatly on your chest, explaining that you can go home. Physically, Hero's not too bad -- he looks exhausted, and he's got himself a (thankfully shallow) bleeding headwound. Mentally, he's been thrown for a complete loop

[Hero may spot a beacon of pink across the square as someone carrying a bag of groceries exits the store. Yuzu is out shopping today, wearing a winter coat and snowboots, but also a miniskirt because she's crazy like that. She's still fairly distracted by the letter situation and isn't paying much attention to her surroundings. Atsuro is suspicious, and she understands why, but she still can't help but wonder. If it isn't a trick, and they ignore it...

But none of that matters as long as their leader is still missing.]

[It takes him a while to spot Yuzu, but once he does, he recognizes her right away. Hero's not usually one to shout, but he's disoriented, worn out, and a little freaked. This probably qualifies as special circumstances. So he drops his makeshift icepack and raises his hand, waving over to her.]

Yuzu!!

[She almost thinks she's imagining the familiar voice at first, but she looks up - and sees the very blue hair. She immediately starts to run towards him, dropping the grocery sack halfway through because it is impossible to flying tackle someone with a bag of cans on hand.]

Hero!

[Oof. Hi Yuzu. Was she really that worried about him? Was she okay while he was gone? How much time has he even lost? What about the letter? Did she get one too? Hero's not quite sure where to start, so he'll just settle for holding onto her for a bit. And pointing out the obvious.]

...You dropped your groceries.

Idiot. [you are a terrible, terrible friend. She is not crying or anything, though. I mean it.]

[Right. Of course not.]

It's okay, Yuzu. I missed you too.

[He's just gonna let go, ruffle her hair, and go pick up her stuff. It's not only his good deed for the day, but it buys him time to calm down and try to sort himself out.]

[She has to collect herself a bit too, so she looks away for a moment after he leaves... then notices the red snow. She swivels back to look at him.] Hey, you're bleeding!

[So he is. He touches his hair briefly, then shakes his head and goes back to picking up cans.]

It's nothing serious.

[B| She knows you better than that, mister.] Really nothing, or "I'm going to say that until I pass out" nothing?

[She really does. He laughs, getting back up and holding out her bag.]

Really nothing. I'm not going to pass out.

[it still looks nasty, okay. But she takes the bag, provided it's not bloodstained now.] We should still get you some bandages.

[He nods. Sure, he'll go along with that if it makes Yuzu feel better. But clearly unimportant things like headaches and bleeding aren't as big of a priority as figuring out this whole "going back to the lockdown" thing. Naturally.]

Yuzu... what day is it today?

Sunday. [wait, he's been gone so long...] Uh, November 22nd.

[Sunday. The letter said Friday, so he has five days to... wait a second.]

November?!

You've been gone for a month. [Can you see why she tackled you, yet?]

[Ohhh yeah.]

My library books must be seriously overdue.

[He's being a dork, but the idea of losing a whole month has him pretty rattled up again. Why couldn't they have given him that letter sooner?]
