High school classmate and best friend of Hero.
Acquainted with Naoya through programming forums online before meeting Hero. Striving to become a programmer. Calls himself "Naoya's No. 1 apprentice." Has been spending his time in Luceti learning how to cook. His sweets are surprisingly tasty.
If there's one person Hero feels he could share his uncertainties with, it'd be Atsuro. As his best friend and somebody Hero considers an equal, he relies on Atsuro's sharp mind to keep him grounded. He knows Atsuro will trust him no matter what happens, too.
...Though he can't help but wonder if that much trust isn't a little bit dangerous.

Childhood friends with Hero since grade school. Also knows his cousin Naoya. Still friends with Hero now that they're in high school together.
Atsuro likes to call her "Yoohoo." ...And sometimes also "Frou-Frou."
One of the most important people in Hero's life. While she certainly proved her strength during the lockdown, the strain she faced is hard to forget -- it's a little misguided, maybe, but his first impulse is to protect her from facing that kind of pressure again. Her wish to just go back to living an ordinary life, whether he'd admit it or not, is one of the things steering him away from choosing to declare war on God.
While Luceti isn't exactly normal, she's at least able to go back to a carefree way of life. He's grateful for that much.

Hero's cousin. Lost his parents at an early age and lived with the Aoshi family until a few years ago. Like a brother to Hero.
A genius programmer who lives alone at an apartment in Aoyama.
Revealed that his goal is to make Hero overlord, and said he'd help the group achieve their objective. Intentionally lured Hero to the lockdown site. Motives unclear, but he claims to be acting in Hero's best interest. Whether he can believe that or not isn't clear.
Hero completely trusted Naoya for most of his life. His cousin was always somebody who had all the right answers, who could help him with anything. Ever since the lockdown, that faith has been shaken. He's not stupid. He knows he was intentionally lured to the lockdown. He knows his group was the only one to get Laplace Mail. He knows Naoya must want him to rebel against heaven for a reason, and he knows Naoya's hiding things.
He's reluctant to ask himself why. There are very few things that Hero fears, but the idea that he's being manipulated to some end -- that he can't trust somebody he had wholehearted faith in -- isn't easy to consider.

Name: Minato Arisato

Apparently born in Japan. Doesn't seem to get much sleep. Untalkative and hard to read, but he has a friendly vibe that encourages you to open up to him. Seems to be wise beyond his years; no matter how hard of a question you ask him, he answers without hesitating.
It's strange, but he doesn't really seem to be passionate about anything. Maybe that's why he's got good answers -- it's probably easier to deal with things when you don't really care about them.

A friend of Atsuro and Yuzu -- they're both in his SOS Brigade. Exactly what they see in him is unclear. It's one thing to just be blunt, but Haruki seems to enjoy being surly for surliness' sake.
The most vexing thing about Haruki is the fact he talks about the lockdown as if it's a game. It's a matter that's more important than life or death to Hero, but Haruki seems more concerned with the novelty of demon-summoning COMPs than the fact that people are going to die.

Another Japanese citizen of Luceti. Dubbed Hero "Nyan-chan" the first time they met. Seems to regard teasing as a recreational sport. She feels that people are more honest when they're mad... does she provoke people in order to push them away?
Despite her knack for being irritating, she's easy to talk to. She might be a pain, but she isn't a bad person.

An angel, though she's very different from the angels Hero knows. She isn't allowed to eat anything but milk and honey, and she can't touch the ground. Apparently these rules are for the sake of not harming living things... but why would a god whose angels kill people so easily be concerned with that?
Kohaku seems shy about trying things they don't do in heaven, but she's kind and really seems to care about people. Hero would feel much better about being a potential Messiah if more angels thought like her.
