journal entry ≈ food is a welcomed distraction
I have decided that when I move to my own apartment, the most important feature is going to be the kitchen. So if the bedroom(s) and living room and whatnot aren't entirely perfect, but the kitchen is? Then I would go for that, because I can always fix up the bed and living room later.
A good bathroom is important too, though. I want a bath.
The reasons I've thought of this is that I'm finally back somewhere where I have a kitchen that I can use as I please, at least mostly, as long as I clean up. Between being at my dorm, and then being stuck at Xavier's I haven't had a chance to cook, something I've found to be a very relaxing pastime.
So right now I have a Red Velvet cheesecake ready to be assembled, since I woke up early and went shopping at the grocery store, and now I'm trying to decide what to make for lunch. (If you read this before your lunchtime works_two_jobs, would you like a slice of cake, if nothing more?) And dinner. I feel like I should make dinner for JP and Doug, as a thank you.
Mostly I'm trying to distract myself from the fact that I should be going to class right now. It's the first time I've missed a class since I was in the fifth grade. It blows.
Also I'm going to watch The Living Wake later. Does anyone want to watch with me?
