Children are also aborted for a *chance* that they may have dwarfism-- which, by the way, can be cured with growth hormone these days-- and several other strange reasons.

The dwarfism thing is very disturbing, especially considering that most dwarves are born to parents of normal height.

Also disturbing is the number of times that the doctors are dead wrong about the chance of someone having a problem.

my son was born with a full-blown cleft - lip and palate.

the thought of that being someone's solution ... well, i think i need to be sick now.

My younger cousin was born with a hare lip. She was operated and grew up not only normal, but one of the prettiest ladies I have ever seen, and definitely the beauty of the family. She is also quite bright and not more "unhappy" than anyone else - certainly not more than the creatures who suggest abortion to remedy prospective unhappiness.
