Anything Else?: Even though I mainly just check my main email at yahoo, I'll put more effort into logging on AIM every day in case you need to contact me. I'm not really sure if you NEED Tegaki and MSN, but LJ is the only journaling service that I use, and AIM is the only chat service I use. I will most likely be online from evening-night, though right now not much is going on with my life so how early I log on will most likely vary from 5-7. I am not online until 9 or so on Mondays and Thursdays, and every other weekend I won't be available to chat but you can still email me (this is because I'll be using a family computer instead of my own) if you'd like the exact dates I can get back to you on that.

Personality:
Silver is not a very social person, and has been a loner for most of his life. Due to his abrasive personality and brutal honesty he has few (if any) friends. He is used to this lifestyle and is seldom lonely from his lack of friends and he claims that he does not need anyone else, however it is only through forming relationships with others that he can continue to grow as a person. Gradually he has begun to mature into a much kinder person though he still finds the company of other people to be tolerable rather then enjoyable. In truth, under his rough exterior and emotional walls is a boy who is kind, fragile, and sensitive.
Although he is a practical person he is also very disorganized, often losing things that aren't enough of a priority to keep on his person at all times. He is also very stubborn when it comes to what he veiws to be right and wrong and as a result can be rather pig headed (and rebellious if what he thinks is right and acceptable conflicts with what people generally view to be so).
While he is easily annoyed and frustrated he does not often let his anger get out of control. There are exceptions to this however, as he has a grudge against his father Giovanni, as well as Team Rocket which was formerly under his control. To those who ask why, he will often just exclaim about their weakness, though the roots of his anger reside in much deeper issues of abandonment.

As a child, Silver lived in Viridian City with his father and mother. Despite being the founder of a criminal organization, Giovanni loved his family -and especially his son- very much. In return, Silver adored and admired his father, and wanted to be like him in every way. This shaped the way he viewed the world, as he adopted Team Rocket's philosophy that pokemon were merely tools to serve humans and that weakness in any form was unacceptable.
After Red had broken up Team Rocket, his father left him and his then-pregnant mother out of shame. From that point, Silver has loathed his father for abandoning the three of them. After he left, they moved to Mahogany Town in Johto, to live with his grandfather who was a local who helped to produce 'rage candy bars'. However, life was still a struggle for them, because while the money his grandfather earned was enough to support himself, his mother, and Silver, it was not enough to support their entire family. As a result most of the time Silver was left by himself to care for his sister while his mother and grandfather were working. Once some months had passed, Silver decided to begin his own pokemon journey to leave this life behind and ease the burden on his family. With her son gone, his mother could now care for her daughter.
Initially Silver treated his pokemon no more then mere tools, however it was only through the guidance of more powerful trainers that defeated him that he was able to see the error of his ways and begin to treat his pokemon with kindness.
Recently while he was out training with his pokemon he had received a letter from his mother, she had been trying to contact him however this proved difficult as he was hard to track and he didn't have a pokegear. She and his sister had moved to Final Destination City. Knowing her son's ambition is to become the world's greatest pokemon trainer she told him about the Sumabura Academy.

I took out the starter, because that's variable in the game, and magneton and alakazam because 3 pokemon are just easier to manage. Also keeping in mind that when you battle with your rival in dragons den against Lance and Clair in HeartGold and Soul silver his 3 pokemon of choice are his starter, crobat, and gengar. Using Sneasel instead in his starter's place seemed fitting (a dark/ice type for an antisocial teenage boy with daddy issues? Oh yes.) If that's not close enough to game cannon I could just say his other 3 pokemon are in a box.
Also, I need to mention this is a rebooted character...
In-Character 1st person writing sample (journal):
I don't see what the point in keeping a journal. Writing down your thoughts on some piece of paper because you just have to tell them to something? How stupid! If you have something to say either say it or shut up and stop whining. If this wasn't a gift I would just throw it in the trash.
This place is supposed to be for the best battlers around the world. Give me a break. I can't step one foot in this place without being surrounded by idiots. I bet I could beat them all with my hand tied behind my back. My RIGHT hand. In fact, I feel SORRY for them!!
I can't get mad at them though, they aren't worth it...

Bitter. He couldn't get the bitter taste out of his mouth. If there was one thing Silver hated more in this world more then his own father, more then the army of fools he shepherd across continents, it was weakness. His own weakness? He hadn't thought of himself as a weak person since he was a child. The weakness of others? It was like a fire that could not be quelled.
And yet here he was, the battle had ended long ago, and he hadn't moved since.
This isn't the first time he has been defeated in the past, he takes most defeats in stride. They were lucky, and battles won by luck meant that he himself never had to face a moment of weakness.He tried to push the event out of his mind, the effort was futile. there was no denying his own weakness. His pokemon were helpless as they were knocked out by his dragons.
When the dragon master told him that he didn't love his pokemon enough, that he would remain weak until he showed them compassion, his blood began to boil. Of all the people in the world he had to be weaker then, he lost to a bleeding heart. The concept seemed ridiculous to the boy, pokemon were beasts meant for fighting, they were not human beings. To love your pokemon would be like loving your gun, or a bomb. Complicated emotions only cloud your vision, and it was easier to make a mistake in battle if you cared about the pain your pokemon were being put through. Loving pokemon was for the naive, the foolish, and childish. Ultimately bleeding hearts would lose against the cold and calculating simply because they cared to much. He could envision them begging for mercy as his sneasel's claws ripped through their pokemon's throat.
And yet, he had lost.
Worse then that, he felt helpless while losing.
Maybe he was right? he thought to himself before viciously shooting the thought down. Yet the thought was persistent in tormenting him. The war had been ignited in his mind and it wouldn't die.
