When it comes to Mint being in danger, she tends to run rather than fight, especially if she knows she cannot win. Whereas if her friends are in danger she'll fight, if it's her own self, she finds her speed can get her away from most enemies and predators, although she generally seeks shelter if it's a flying type Pokémon. Her inexperience in fighting works against her in that if she decides to fight, it could risk her fainting or getting seriously injured.
Mint's motivations are simple - if it makes her friends happy, she'll generally do what she can for them. If her friends are in danger or are hurt, she'll help them. If there's an adventure to be had, she'll waste no time in inviting friends and going on it. And if she's in a new place or somewhere foreign to her, she'll go right along and explore it as best she can as soon as possible, mapping it out and learning where everything is. If it's sunny outside, you'll find her out there nine times out of ten as she loves clear skies and sunny days.
She hates being made fun of, teased and ridiculed by others, but rushes to defend her friends if they are in that same position. Despite being a small Pokémon, she thinks size doesn't matter and that it's what you do that makes you good or bad. She's a selfless Pokémon that will always put her friends before her own safety, to the point that she puts herself into danger without thinking about it.
Mint's ideal goal is to become a well-known explorer who adventures with her friends and sees the world. Her dream is to visit as many places as she can, as much as she can in her life. She has a passion for exploring that will never burn out, and would like to share that passion with her friends once she's able to.
Backstory:
Mint was born from a Tyranitar and a Meganium in Ilex Forest, and for years the forest remained her home. The Tyranitar never stayed much to care for Mint, so her mother did most of the nurturing in the early years. She taught Mint everything she needed to know, which was basically run around, get food from trees, don't run into things, gee the latter thing failed didn't it and when she reached the age of 10 she knew how to survive on her own.
She had a penchant for running off to explore the rest of the forest, looking at the Pokémon that resided there, and eventually learning where everything was. As a couple more years passed, she befriended some of the Pokémon in the forest, such as a Pineco and a Caterpie, who joined her in her explorations. Eventually, they explored the outskirts of the forest, and learned that Ilex Forest lay near Azalea Town, a place they had never seen before.

Three years later, Mint, Pineco and Caterpie were still going on explorations, befriending even more Pokémon to take on adventures with them. It wasn't long before Meganium found a flyer dropped in Ilex Forest speaking of a place called Smash Academy. She told Mint that she should go there and learn more while she could. While Mint was reluctant to leave her friends, Meganium informed Mint that there were many other Pokémon at the school and, if she wanted to become a well-known explorer, she should go there, and that her friends would still be here when she got back. When she asked if they wanted to come, however, Pineco and Caterpie shook their heads, wishing to remain in Ilex Forest, as it was their home and the only place they knew other than Azalea.
Meganium told Mint that she was still a young Chikorita, and needed to learn more about the world around her if she hoped to become a good explorer. She could meet more friends, she could train herself to do well in battle since she's like battle inept and she could possibly learn other things that Mint might find fun. In the end, the young Chikorita decided to go the school, wearing the red scarf in memory of her friend Caterpie while she was away. Packing her things, she headed off and traveled to Final Destination City, where she would attend Smash Academy in hopes of achieving her dreams...
Anything Else?:
- You touch the scarf, you get hurt. Mint's very protective of Caterpie's scarf.
- She CAN be quick to freak out at times, but it's not a major part of her personality, just a quirk of hers.
- She says "Chi" and "Chika" at the end of her sentences sometimes, kind of like what Bulba does. It's a rare case for her and more of a nervous tic than anything.
- Having not really known her father that much, all she can tell people is that he looked like a dinosaur. Because young Chikoritas only cared about dinosaurs in their infancy, srs.

In-Character 1st person writing sample (journal):
Wow, this school is so big! It's going to take me a while to look through it! So much to explore, so little time!
So, hi there! I'm Mint! I came from Ilex Forest, and I love adventuring! There's a club like that here, right? If so, I really want to join it! It would be so much fun~!
It's such a beautiful day today, no clouds, nothing but the sun! I think I'm gonna go out and explore the school, and maybe even the city while it's still light out! Does anyone want to join me? If you do, come to the front of the school and we'll all go together!
Hope to see you guys around, even if you don't come by!
In-Character 3rd person writing post:
Through the halls, and out the door - Mint was out of there in a flash. It was a brand new day, and she wasn't wasting any time in getting outside and enjoying the radiant Saturday. After all, a completely clear sky and a brightly-glowing sun meant it was a day she surely couldn't miss out on! She bounded across the field, checking out the sights. Students were coming out and hanging out, playing games with each other, sitting on benches and on the grass. It almost reminded her of when she saw the outskirts of Ilex. She looked around - a few of her friends should be out today, right? Maybe she should find them and hang out! Mint wouldn't miss a day like this for anything,
She again ran, glad she was getting used to being a human. It was so odd running on two legs! But Mint liked it. Plus, she was able to cover more ground faster than she could in her Chikorita form. Now, the stadium was right around the corner from here... they'd probably be sparring or training, right? Maybe she'd go watch them before asking them to hang out. She took off around the corner and down the next field until she came across the stadium, then walked in and sat down. As she thought, two of her friends were sparring with each other. She watched them intently, enjoying the battle, until it was finally over.
She got up and ran towards them, waving her arms. "Hey! Hey, guys! Let's go to Final Destination City today! There's so much more we have to explore there!"

Also I'd like to quickly add another paragraph to Mint's personality about her class-like attitude pls hold:
Mint could be seen as an avid learner - provided the subject is something she is interested in. Otherwise you might find her off daydreaming about what kind of exploring she could be doing or hanging out with friends. She's not the type to sleep in class, as she finds it rude, but that doesn't stop her from sometimes not paying attention to lectures. If it confuses and befuddles her, however, she'll pay attention only because she feels it's something that she needs to learn more about. Most classes Mint would be interested in only because she wants to impress her mother, Meganium, and show her knowledge to her friends when she returns to Ilex one day.
