Boy, oh boy, has Mewtwo changed in two years. Originally antisocial, face constantly pressed up against a screen while playing video games of some sort, he has since matured into a considerate type. He may still be cautious, but he has come to really enjoy person to person interaction. Contrary to what his reputation may be within the Kanto scientific community (and probably the criminal underground of all regions), he's really quite gentle, taking advantage of the new meditation techniques he's learned from the likes of Poo and the school's other PSI users to try and gain better control of his sometimes overwhelming powers. Conflict is something he tries to avoid, but if someone is in danger, he won't hesitate to battle to ensure their safety. His loyalty runs very deep, a trait that many Pokemon share. He tries his hardest not to be intimidating, especially since he intends to become a teacher now, which is why he spends most of his time in his human form, his Pokemon form can be kind of... scary, sometimes. He also tries his hardest not to hack into people's minds by accident, but he's still young, so his telepathic powers sort of go haywire sometimes. He's focusing most of his attention on refining his telekinetic power. He doesn't like unnecessary attention to be placed on him, which is why he generally steers clear of trainers who know of him beforehand. Considering that this is mostly trainers belonging to criminal organizations, this is probably wise. It has a lot to do with his natural modest nature, too.

Mewtwo was cloned from some genes that Mew just happened to leave lying around one day. The scientists who discovered that the DNA left over was possible to clone from were very excited. This was a large step forward, Mew was both incredibly powerful and incredibly elusive, and having a clone could unlock all kinds of questions about creation and Pokemon, and all that good stuff. They had to fill some missing parts of the genetic map, and ended up making the Mew clone somewhat super powered, and when Mewtwo finally awoke, the power was far too much to handle for the newborn, and the laboratory exploded in a blaze of psychic power. Giovanni, who at the time was still the Viridian City gym leader, got wind of this catastrophe and decided to go check it out, only to find a small, terrified creature balled up in the wreckage. Giovanni took him in, and there was a short amount of time where Mewtwo was unwittingly under the employ of Team Rocket, taking advantage of the young Pokemon's naive state of mind. One night, like a child spying on his parent, Mewtwo witnessed the man accepting a new batch of stolen Pokemon, and finally realizing the criminal nature of the organization, He took off, going into hiding in an isolated cave off of Cerulean city, full of incredibly powerful Pokemon that few trainers attempted to enter. He retreated into himself during this time, so much so that when he was approached by a small, pink Pokemon, he didn't even realize that this was Mew. The legendary managed to coax the other out of his shell enough to function, and upon realizing that Team Rocket had their eyes out for the clone, sent him on his way to a strange place called Final Destination City, where Mewtwo adapted with a human form, and enrolled in Smash Academy High School. In being a student here, he went through many... interesting things, the Aparoid War, students being mind controlled, regressing in age, ect. Mew even showed up for a while, along with other countless legendary Pokemon, including Arceus, Rayquaza, Darkrai, and more, all of whom he managed to develop relationships with. Other Pokemon, like Smeargle and Pichu, and other species, too many people to mention, all dragging him out of his shell bit by bit, until he emerged at the end of his senior year a whole new person, prepared to take on the rest of the world. Although he still visits Kanto often, he decided he wanted to remain in this place that transformed him so, and decided to teach his former classmates rather than leave.

So... I've noticed that ever since Mr. Linebeck left, which was really a long time ago now, there's been kind of an absence of math teachers at the school... and since I'm graduating and all... I thought that maybe I could be the new math teacher! I have some experience because I helped Rayquaza with his class when he was still here, and I really know a lot about math. Seriously, a lot. What do you think, Headmaster Hand?

Mewtwo gripped the textbook in his hand, and straightened his shirt again, taking a deep breath. This was going to be an entirely new experience, he knew, but he was pretty sure he could do it. The school had given him so much, it was time for him to give something back! Prof. Mewtwo was embossed on the placard on his desk. and he stole another glance at the clock. It was almost time for his first class ever to start. A smile spread over his face. He was ready!
