Vacations are never long enough
Well I got back home from Atlanta last night around 9:00. Gah, the trip back seemed to take a lot longer than going there which is wierd because usually it's the other way around o_o; Oh well, it was a nice break from the bleah life I've been leading recently. I stayed with my friend Chris for all three nights and we had a good time as usual. The first person I visited Friday night before I got to Chris's was my very sweet friend Candice who was very hospitiable. ^^ We went out to O'Charleys to eat dinner and had a great time talking and stuff. Unfortunately, we didn't get to spend much time as it was getting late and I needed to get going before it got to be too late. I wish I could have stayed longer, gomen ne Candi-chan ;_; *hugs* Anyways, I got to Chris's house and basically fell almost immediately asleep. Saturday was an interesting day. First off, the night before I had realized that I had left my debit card at O'Charleys an hour north of where I was currently staying -_-;; So, Chris and I had to get in the car, go back up to Ringgold (where we ate the night before), get my Debit card which they had fortunately found and were holding, and then drive back. That took a good 2 1/2 hours. After that we got back and did a bit of shopping/looking until I was tired of driving. Later that evening, Patrick invited us over to his place to get some DVD's made and to eat some dinner. That was fun and the stuff he made was really good. We watched a bit of Stargate SG-1 and then Farscape which I hadn't seen most of. We left later that night and then I fell asleep again once we returned to Chris's place. Sunday, we went to pick up my friend Stephanie who was in need of a ride to the AWA meeting and went to the hotel. That took awhile since I took the long way to get to her place plus traffic (damn 41). We got to the hotel a few minutes late but they hadn't started yet anyways so we didn't feel bad. The meeting was boring, yet informative. I got to talk with Stan about the CLAMP Ball and toured the hotel and Galleria (VERY nice place). We also got a peek at the room where the Ball was going to be held and I must say, it's bigger, nicer, and better than the one we had last year. After that, we hung around and chatted with some people then decided to get going and grab something to eat. We stopped at Wendy's on the way to taking Stephanie home and then dropped her off. After that, Chris and I went by Blockbuster and picked up two nice DVD's: The entire eX-Driver series and the Director's Favorite Cowboy Bebop episodes with DTS. I didn't know DTS was such a wonderful thing until I heard this x_x VERY cool. It's too bad they can't make every DVD as nice. :P Oh well, someday. So we watched those, went to sleep, then I woke up on Monday and left. So, while not the most enjoyable of vacations, it was nice to get away and see people.
