Siwon drove home alone, deep in thought. He had bid Yesung farewell back at school; the older man had some errands to run for his family and couldn't ride home with him. Siwon didn't mind though, because he needed some time to think. He wondered why Yesung was so mysterious. He never talked about his life, he never talked with the other teachers. Yesung was always alone in a corner reading or listening to music. Maybe he should ask while having dinner. Come to think of it, he barely knew the man, seeing as their attempt to get to know each other failed earlier on when Yesung fainted. Siwon was worried for the music teacher, and was sure that there was more to the sadness that lay so stagnant in his eyes, reflecting the world in the jaded light Yesung saw it in.

He also realized the older man never smiled. He always had a depressed face, always looking to the floor avoiding peoples eyes; most of the time, he was alone in the music room talking to himself. Siwon could see the pain in Yesung's eyes but never said a word about it. He sensed that there was so much that Yesung was hiding, not letting on, and he desperately needed to know. Over the past few days, he's become so attached to the smaller man, spending time with him, enjoying his strange wit and the shared comfortable silences. But there were moments when Yesung's eyes just shuttered, and Siwon wanted to help so badly. His eyes were almost screaming for help, for someone to save him from the life he had and Siwon wanted to be the one. He wanted to be the one who took care of Yesung, He wanted to be the one who protected him from everything bad this world had. Yet, he was helpless, because Yesung didn't tell him anything.

Siwon drove on silently, carelessly scanning the scenery, and suddenly, he caught sight of a telegraph pole, with a colorful poster taped to it. Ignoring the honks, he stopped his car and ran out, heart pounding, and snatched the flyer off the pole before returning to his car.

"Talent competition: Auditions 1st March."

This was perfect! Yesung had to participate. his life could change completely with this competition and Siwon was sure Yesung would win! After all, how many people had such an angelic voice like his? He knew this could be just what Yesung needed. If the older man refused to accept a career doing what he loved, then at least a talent competition would make him realise what he truly is, and that he's got so much to be proud of. The last thing Siwon wanted was for Yesung to waste away in that old classroom, with countless new faces year after year, never making his mark on history like he should. The negative part about all of this was that if Yesung actually won this, Siwon would never see him again or just time to time... but it was a small price he was willing to pay to see Yesung's bright smile.

Siwon drove home, smiling unconsciously the whole while, and the moment he reached home, he rushed in, not bothering to even close the door, and dialed Yesung's home number. He waiting impatiently, and after what seemed like eternity, Yesung picked up.

"Yeobo..." Yesung greeted, and he did not sound happy. Siwon hesitated, and he heard violent noises in the background; breaking and yelling. He notice Yesung's voice was shaking, like he had been crying. The screams got worst and Siwon could swear he was hearing someone calling Yesung names and saying he was better off dead.

"...Hyung..." Siwon whispered afraid of the reaction the older man was about to have after hearing his voice. He heard a shaky gasp on the other end, and a few fumbling noises, before the harsh dial tone stung his ears. Siwon sighed, and put down the phone, sitting heavily down onto the couch and putting his head in his hands. What the hell was going on?

He never expected to hear those things coming from Yesung's house. He always thought Yesung's house was quiet and peacefull. But after this phone call he realized he was wrong. He needed to do something, but what? He didn't even knew what was happening in that house in the first place. Making for his car, Siwon was halfway out the door, one shoe on, before he realised that he didn't know where Yesung lived. Crying out in frustration, Siwon flung his keys down onto the glass table, ignoring the splintering crack as an ugly webbing formed on the surface layer of glass. Blinking at the damage, he shook himself, wondering what had gotten into him. What could he do anyway? He wanted to help, of course he did! he wanted to rescue Yesung from what it seemed a hell, but what could he do if he didn't know where Yesung lived? He couldn't just drive with no destination. But the Siwon remembered... he could always get the information from the school. But then again, that would be an utter invasion of privacy. As close as they had gotten over the past few days, that would be crossing the line, and there was no telling what Yesung would do to him. Siwon sighed, he'd just have to stick it out until tomorrow, when he could see Yesung again. His heart ached in fear for Yesung, just that little, but he couldn't do anything but wait.

Yesung looked to the phone. He couldn't believe Siwon called him in a time like that. He hoped the younger man didn't hear a thing. If he did, Siwon would probably never talk to him until the day they were dead. Yesung prayed Siwon didn't heard a single word. He didn't want to lose the only friend he had in his horrible life. He was afraid Siwon would be one of those types who would be afraid of bringing up anything, avoiding the issue until their friendship soured, or worse, one of those types who shunned him all together. Yesung blinked back tears; he's had enough of so-called "friends" who had left him time and time again, and he didn't want everything to be ruined, especially not with Siwon.

The screams stopped for a while, but he knew it wouldn't last, so before hearing more pointless things, Yesung left the house not even bothering to say he was going to leave for a couple of hours. Maybe he should just leave that place forever. Maybe he should look for a place where he was accepted. Trudging along the pavement, he huffed, and a dusting of miniscule crystals materialised in his breath. Yesung felt so lost, and he was so tired of all this shit in his life. Walking naturally, his feet automatically carried him to his usual playground, where he would hang out when things got really bad at home. Looking around, he realised that Siwon's house was nearby.

Should he go to Siwon's house? Probably not after what the younger man heard...but at the same time he wanted to see Siwon; better, he needed to see him. Yesung needed to see Siwon so his heart would feel a little happiness, like the other days. Not knowing how his body started moving against his will, Yesung started walking towards Siwon's house, heart in his mouth and readying himself for what was to come.

Yesung knew he shouldn't go. He couldn't bother Siwon at a time like this. After all he didn't even know if the younger man thought of him as a friend. However, there was no one he could turn to, and maybe just this once, if he could impose, it would be great. He secretly hoped inside that Siwon might welcome him gladly, like always, and that made him feel a little bit better on the inside. He liked how he felt with the biology teacher, like nothing else mattered except for the moment with the two of them co-existing in the same time frame.

Before he knew it, he was facing Siwon's front door. Should he knock? Should he leave? Millions of questions came to his mind but he decided to forget them and knocked the door but not strong enough for Siwon to hear... or so he thought. Yesung felt like his feeble rap was only audible on his side, and Yesung might've done it to put off seeing Siwon anymore, because he wouldn't know how to explain himself. But suddenly, the door opened and there stood Siwon, and oh god he looked breathtaking. Yesung almost forgot all his troubles at the sight of disheveled hair, a bare torso and prominent hipbones disappearing into low slung trackpants.

"Yesung?" Siwon forgot about the formalities and the older man looked at him with surprised eyes. "Yesung!" He called again but this time he scooped Yesung into a tight embrace, making Yesung's heart almost jump from his chest. With his face pressed into a bare chest that smelt softly of soap, masculine cologne and a earthy undertone he couldn't quite pinpoint, all coherent thought flew from Yesung's mind, and he sighed, instinctively shutting his eyes and relaxing into Siwon's arms, only managing a muffled "Hi". And a silly thought flew into his head, something about two people never fitting together more perfectly.

"I was so worried." Those were the only words Siwon managed to say in that moment. Moments ago he couldn't help but stop imagining what horrible things were happening to this little angel in his arms... to his little angel. He wanted to say everything was alright now; that Yesung didn't had to go back to his house, but he just couldn't find the words for it.

Yesung stiffened, so he had heard. He pulled away, and stared into Siwon's eyes, looking for any shred of false concern, disbelief, or pity, but he found nothing. Siwon's eyes held an open sadness for Yesung, and genuine worry. Siwon must've sensed what Yesung was thinking, because he pulled Yesung in and shut the door hurriedly, as if afraid that Yesung would leave, and despite the circumstances, it made the older man quite pleased.

"Are you okay?" He wanted to ask millions of things to Yesung. he wanted to know what happened, why were people screaming and why did his voice sound like he had been crying. But right now the only thing Siwon could do was carress the older man's face, making sure he didn't have any injuries on that beautiful face. Yesung blinked rapidly, feeling his face heat up and a feeling not unlike flusteredness creeping up on him. He smiled, a weak twist of lips, and looked away.

"I'm fine. Can't I visit my friend?" He laughed softly, and Siwon, despite knowing that Yesung was definitely not telling him something, couldn't help but think how beautiful his laugh, however mirthless, sounded. Siwon didn't answer, he just nodded. He wanted Yesung to open up. He wanted Yesung to tell him what was bothering him. He wanted to know every single thing about him.

"Yesung..." The older man looked up. He could feel his heart beat faster and faster when Siwon stopped calling him "Hyung".

"I need to know what's going on. You turn up at my doorstep in the middle of the night, and not tell me what's going on. I should at least have the right to know," Siwon said, softly but words not losing any of their intensity and sincerity. Yesung quaked a little; Siwon was right, he was being unfair. If he really cared about him, he would want to know, but Yesung just couldn't open up easily.

"It's nothing... really..." Siwon could see Yesung was lying. The older boy was trying his best not to make eye contact but was failing miserably. Siwon's intense gaze was making him shiver and he couldn't even think straight.

"Don't lie to me... I don't like it when people I care about lie." Siwon's face was so close, oh so close, and Yesung's frantic mind could only comprehend, he cares for me, before he suddenly felt a pair of lips brushing against his own, light as a feather but not so gentle as to be a figment of his imagination.

"I...." Yesung felt like jelly. His legs were losing strength, his hands were sweaty, his face changing five shades of red and his heart beat increasing everytime he looked into Siwon's beautiful eyes. They were so close he could feel the younger man's hot breath on his cheek. What should he do? Should he run away or stay?

"Shh, you have to trust me," Siwon murmured before kissing Yesung again, purposefully this time, with so much more in it, and it was definitely real. Yesung's eyes closed and his heart skipped a beat as Siwon's lips moved against his own. He brought his hands up, placing them tentatively on Siwon's chest and stroking, and Siwon pulled him nearer in response, deepening the kiss. This was pure bliss for both. Siwon thought Yesung's lips tasted like honey but definitely better. The more he tasted the more he wanted. Siwon wasn't letting Yesung leave, not even if the older man begged. He finally was able to express what he felt for Yesung without feeling nervous or scared. He was so glad that Yesung had given up trying to hide, and resist, and the feeling of the music teacher not only being pliant, but kissing him back, made a bubble of joy swell up in him, filling his lungs and veins to bursting with intangible euphoria. Siwon was surprised when Yesung's tongue ventured into his own mouth, tentatively exploring, and this innocent shyness made his mind spin.

Being human beings like they were, they had to pull apart so they could breath. Heavily breathing, both looked into each other's eyes.

"Siwon..." Was the only thing Yesung managed to say before the taller man attacked his lips again with even more strength. He didn't know how they managed to make it onto the bed, and how their clothes were divested so quickly, but as Yesung was arching upward, Siwon's name catching briefly in his throat before escaping the confines of his body, he knew that he could trust the younger man with all his heart.

---------------------

Yesung woke up feeling something around his waist and hot air on his neck. He slowly turned and saw something he thought he would never see in his life. Siwon sleeping peacefully and holding him posessively, as if not wanting Yesung to leave in the middle of the night. What happened last night rushed back in vivid detail, and he instinctively blushed. Siwon seemed to have that perpetual effect on him. But Yesung knew that Siwon would confront him again, and he didn't know how to handle that. Slowly, he tried to dislodge Siwon's arm around his waist, but it was as good as bolting him down. Shifting as silently as possible, Yesung wiggled, attempting to escape.

But every time he tried the hold got tighter and Siwon would groan, annoyed. he looked like a little kid who didn't want his teddy bear to leave only making Yesung smile brightly. He never saw this cute side of Siwon and wouldn't allow anyone else to see it. Finally giving up, Yesung turned around and snuggled into Siwon's chest, broad and comforting, smelling of rights and wrongs put straight. The older man decided, as he drifted off into Siwon-scented dreams, that he'll deal with his problems when he woke up later.
