Yesung sighed and walked across the school's carpark, past the fancy cars and beaten heaps; at least those lucky ones had their own transport. He had to brave the late bus and all of its perverts, grouchy teenagers and bad-tempered office workers being transported home.
"Hyung!" Upon hearing his name, Yesung looked back and saw Siwon with a bright smile gracing his face, making him blush from head to toe as he looked away. The taller man approached, silver keys jangling from his hand as he strode towards the music teacher. He stopped by a black car and threw his biology books and slides in to the back seat, before straightening up and smiling.
"Want a lift home?"
"N...No thanks! I don't mind taking the bus." Actually Yesung minded, a lot. But he didn't want to be a bother to Siwon so he decided to say those words. After all the younger man was just saying that to be nice. It wasn't like he liked him right?
Yesung also didn't give the true reason why he didn't want Siwon to send him home. He was ashamed of where he lived, afraid of what might happen when the car pulled up outside his home. Would there be screaming and breaking of things like last night? Or would there be his mother, running out and lashing at him violently like last week? Things weren't certain, and Yesung couldn't take chances. The truth was he didn't want to go home any time soon. He wanted to walk so he could pretend everything was alright when it wasn't. he hated his life and everything about it.
"I insist Hyung," Yesung shook his head and started walking away until he felt something grabbing his wrist.
"If you... If you do-don't want to go home... we could..." Yesung noticed the younger man's face was flushed and he could hardly talk. He smiled despite himself, and all the worry and doubt that clouded his mind upon thinking of "home" seemed less severe somehow. Siwon must've sensed a change in his expression, because he quickly seized the chance to ask Yesung out for dinner, in the most hurried fashion possible. Bullied into saying yes, Yesung did, and he discovered a smile on his face as he was pulled to the car.
At first he thought he was going to regret saying yes, but then seeing the childish smile in Siwon's lips he forgot all about it. He rather go with him and spend maybe a horrible time than go home to that hell...but he was sure that with Siwon any time was a good time. Yesung couldn't take his eyes from the younger man and didn't even noticed when he started talking random things
"...so I was terribly upset that he wanted to implement dissection, but it's not like I could do anything about it. I'll see about tomorrow though, although I'm not exactly sure-"
"Hey," Yesung cut him off, and Siwon stopped mid-babble and looked at him, smiling almost-nervously, and Yesung felt his heart steal all moisture from his throat, channelling it onto his palms in a nervous bid.
"Just forget it...." Yesung looked to the car window leaving Siwon wonder what just happened. He was hopping his Hyung would say something. He didn't said a word since he entered that car. "Hyung, you started now finish it!" Siwon was afraid of sounding a little to harsh, like he was with his students. Yesung laughed, still not facing Siwon.
"I'm just... not used to going out for dinner I guess," Yesung admitted, afraid of Siwon thinking he was a freak with no life. He didn't know what possessed him to tell Siwon that, but the younger man seemed so carefree with words and friendly looks, always so open and bright. Yesung now knew why Siwon was so attractive; he drew people like moths to a flame.
"Hyung you worry to much." Yesung smiled. That was all he could do right now. He couldn't think or speak. He felt a teenager all over again and if he thought about it deeply... it was the worst thing he could wish for. Butterflies in his stomach, his mind saying this would be a bad idea if this lasted all night, but his heart screaming saying he couldn't turn back. Maybe this was the only chance he would get to be alone with his colleague.
Siwon seemed satisfied with Yesung's smile, and turned on the radio. The voice of Bryan McKnight blared through the car speakers, and Yesung found himself singing along softly. He loved the singer and always found his voice lulling after a long day of harsh screaming and coarse yelling. He closed his eyes, singing along, forgetting where he was and what he was doing.
His voice was soft and pure, at least to Siwon's ears. He found himself focusing more on Yesung that on the road. He couldn't help it. that beautiful man next to him was like an angel to him.
"You're so beautiful Yesung..." Siwon whispered, not even noticing he said it out loud.
"You said something?" Asked Yesung, waking up from his world and looking at Siwon, making the taller man blush and look away.
"N...No!" Yesung looked at Siwon, confusion denting a crease between his eyebrows. Maybe he shouldn't sing if it distracts Siwon...
"Please continue," Siwon said, eyes firmly fixed on the road, hands half gesturing as they came off the wheel briefly, to Yesung's alarm.
"Continue singing?" Yesung asked tentatively, unsure of whether it was safe. Siwon simply smiled widely and it took Yesung's breath away. How was it possible for a grow man to smile like an innocent child? How was it possible that he made Yesung's heart beat 100 times faster? He never felt something like that.
"I...I don't know what else to sing." that was one of the biggest lies he ever said. He knew millions of songs, half written by himself, inspired both by his depressing life and... Siwon, but he would never reveal it, unless he was suicidal. Siwon's face fell, and he looked so forlorn that Yesung's heart melted for him. Even though the biology teacher was a fully grown man taller than himself, he wanted to cuddle Siwon to take that gloomy expression off his face.
"Hush little baby, don't say a word..." Yesung sang the first lullabye that came to his mind, hoping it would make Siwon laugh, and he wasn't disappointed.
The younger man laughed like a child. It was such an innocent sound that it made Yesung's heart almost jump from his chest. But then Siwon replaced the laughter with a sweet smile and stopped the car. If this continued he would probably hit something, Yesung sighed. He looked out of the window, and found himself face to face with a cozy looking food shop: Baptols. He had passed this shop by many times, and had felt a strange attraction to its cozy interior, friendly, smiling staff, and the general atmosphere that made it feel like home.
"Here we are," Siwon said cheerfully. "This is where I like to eat." Yesung stared; at this humble establishment? He always thought Siwon would go to more sophisticated places, never to places like this, so simple.
"Well... are we going inside or staying in the car forever?" Asked Siwon, but actually it wasn't a bad idea to him at all. He wouldn't mind spending even more time with his adorable hyung.
Yesung smiled and opened the door, stepping out and breathing in the fresh air. A far cry from his neighbourhood in the boonies, this was certain. Siwon walked past him and opened the door, standing there with a comic twinkle in his eyes, gesturing in, mock butler-style. Yesung laughed and walked in, pretending to flounce along the way.
He loved how warm the atmosphere around him. It was so different from what he was used to, but maybe he just felt that way because Siwon was there.
with him everything felt warm and nice... Yesung couldn't help but feel emotional. He was feeling true happiness for the first time in his life and he didn't know how to handle it.
As if on cue, confusion whirled through his mind, eddying a pothole in his belly, and the room seemed to spin violently. In the eye of the spinning room was Siwon's smile, and he blinked his eyes furiously, clutching onto a nearby table for support. The smile morphed into a worried frown, and a warm hand closed around his upper arm, grounding him and pulling him back to earth.
"Are you alright?" Yesung couldn't say a word and that only made Siwon worry even more, if that was possible. He started to feel his legs going weak and grabbed Siwon's strong arms for support, his head feeling heavier than ever. The room still swirled lazily before his eyes, and Yesung shook his head several times. He couldn't mess things up now. Yesung managed a weak smile and clutched the sleeves of Siwon's shirt to steady himself. He was insanely aware of the taller man's arms encircling his waist and helping him to stand, and he fought the wave of delirious dizziness that was threatening to overwhelm him once more. Softly, Siwon touched Yesung's face and his eyes almost popped.
"Hyung, you're burning up!" Siwon was so worried he didn't know what to do. He was getting to nervous. "Why didn't you told me you were feeling ill? I'm taking you home." Hearing this Yesung almost jumped. He couldn't allow something like that, he didn't want something like that.
"No...anywhere...but there." Siwon didn't seem to hear Yesung's whisper as he lifted the man up, bridal-style and walked out into the car, lowering him gently into the seat. Yesung closed his eyes, willing the world to stop whirling; what kind of person literally gets giddy with happiness? He was faintly aware of Siwon starting the engine, and him asking Yesung where he lived, but the older man dozed off, too drained to reply.
Siwon waited for an answer but there was nothing. He looked at Yesung's face, which was suddenly covered in tears. The taller man had no idea what was happening. He got closer and started cleaning off those pure crystals.
"Hyung... what happened to you?" He asked to no one. He was worried abut Yesung and he wanted to help him.
*
Yesung woke up with a start, and found himself facing an unfamiliar ceiling, his back nestled against unfamiliar cushions. A rare silence, one he wouldn't find at home, rang in his ears, and he sat up, panicking. The world started spinning abruptly, and Yesung lowered himself back down again, unable to sit straight, let alone stand. As he closed his eyes, confusion and fear ran through his mind. Millions of scary thoughts came to his mind. Where was he? Where was Siwon? Was he alright? Did he found out where he lived and felt sorry for him?
Yesung's questions stopped when he turned his body and saw Siwon seating next to the bed sleeping peacefully, and he could swear the younger man was drooling. He chuckled, in spite of his confusion, and reached forward to wipe away the drool. But somehow, his hand wandered of it's own accord to Siwon's philtrum, and started stroking gently. His skin was like velvet, Yesung thought in wonder, and all his thoughts left his mind as he continued to touch Siwon's lips, comforted by the familiar gesture he had practiced since childhood. He couldn't help it. Siwon's lips were so soft, so perfect. Unconsciously Yesung got closer almost enough to kiss him; he could feel his hot breath against him. He wanted to kiss him so badly, but he knew he couldn't. Siwon would hate him for the rest of his life if that happened.
Suddenly, the younger man woke with a start, and Yesung drew back swiftly, hoping Siwon didn't notice. To his relief, Siwon stared blearily at him for a second, before falling asleep again. Yesung let out a sigh of relief, trying to hush his thumping heart, and fell back against the pillows, blinking into darkness. He turned his head to the left, and roughly made out the size of the room. He never imagined that one day he would be inside Siwon's house, more specifically, in his room. It screamed Siwon's taste all over; simple but beautiful. He wanted to stay in this room forever... but he knew he couldn't. He was just here because he fell asleep before giving his address. He smiled sadly, knowing that Siwon was probably taking pity on him and letting him sleep here just because he was ill and lived in a squalid slum of a house. Sighing, Yesung turned on his side, facing away from Siwon.
"You think too loud," a voice remarked from behind him, laced with sleep and smiles, and Yesung smiled to himself before turning around to shush Siwon up. Before he could even blink, he felt a pair of arms around his waist and felt on the bed. It was like having a dead weight on top of him. He felt his fever rising and wasn't sure if that was a good or a bad thing. His cheeks flushing and his body sweating. What should he do?
Wait... he was sweating. So that meant that his fever had broken. So why was his temperature rising? Maybe because only the love of his life was CUDDLING HIM IN HIS BED. Yesung lay stock still and tried not to breathe too loudly, feeling the warm weight of Siwon's arms press comfortably against his abdomen, and this was possibly the best moment of his life. He wanted to hold him back but instead he started to push Siwon away; but he should have known better. The younger man was heavier and stronger. There was no way he could push him away and nothing prepared him for what happened next. Siwon grabbed Yesung's hand and pressed his cheek to Yesung's.
"Don't... Just don't."
Yesung tried to control his internal spazzing and bit the inside of his cheek as he relaxing involuntarily, melting into Siwon's arms. He sighed, casting off all the worries and pressumptions of the day into the darkness of Siwon's room, and closed his eyes, forgetting everything but the huff of breath against his cheek and the beat of someone else's heart, heavy and real, against his back.
