Summary: Donghae fell in love.
Donghae turns his head to see Eunhyuk, soft brown hair spread haphazardly all over his pillow, and his breath hitches at the sight of those bitten red lips that were against his not moments ago, spilling moans into the back of his throat. Donghae swallowed, gave a watery smile and leaned over, tentatively putting his head on Eunhyuk's chest. He knew that Eunhyuk would be hurting right about now, and felt the man tense beneath him as Donghae closed his eyes, sighing, timing his breaths to Eunhyuk's heartbeat.
"Won't Kibum..." Eunhyuk trailed off, not wanting to say the words that neither of them wanted to hear. Donghae could hear his lover's heartbeat quicken, and stroked his fingers soothingly across Eunhyuk's smooth, soft skin.
"I'm not with him anymore," Donghae said quietly, and slid his arms around Eunhyuk's waist as the other's heartbeat got even more erratic.
"Is it because of me?" Donghae heard the wavering voice above him, and opening his eyes, looking up to meet orbs, filled with worry and something else.
"No, it's because of me," Donghae whispered, and reached up to stroke Eunhyuk's face softly. The latter's lips started to tremble, and tears began to spill down his face. Donghae tried for a smile, and tasted salt, to find that he was crying too.
"What did you do? Didn't you love him?" Eunhyuk said, blindly reaching out for Donghae's hands, grasping them in his own.
"I always loved that one man," Donghae confessed, looking into Eunhyuk's eyes, bright with tears. "But I only just realised who that one man ever was," and Donghae sealed his unspoken promise with a desperate kiss against Eunhyuk's mouth, seeking acceptance and love. And he found it, even as he left a part of him behind, to risk everything to be with the man he really loved, God knew that he found it.
