Happy Bastille Day! Woo!
Okay, now that is out of my system... ahem...
In an effort to alleviate summer boredom I have decided that next summer I will go to New York to visit my sister. I know it is a bit of a stretch to already say that I will be bored next summer like I am this summer and most summers come to think of it, but in the chance that I will be bored next summer I will go see her. I am fairly excited by this mainly because I have never been to the East Coast before (well except for Washington, Virginia and Florida but really aren't those places more Southern than Eastern and anyways Florida doesn't count as a state in my opinion- yeah I said it!) or New York for that matter! Now this will take a lot of will power on my part since I am terrified of flying but I might just take the train route which is what my sister did. Apparently it only takes like five days- altho that means I'd be on the "road" for five days before actually getting into New York and then I'd have to decide how much time I wanna spend in said city. Okay, maybe I will just fly. Either way I have a whole year to psyche myself up for it. I really need a vacation and sure it's a whole year away but it still counts. I will need to find a place to stay like some sort of nice-ish hotel because apparently my sister lives in Brookyln and that place doesn't seem very... well let's just say I'd feel more comfortable in a nice hotel somewhere. I've already talked to my parents and my sister about this (it was her idea after all) and they are totally for me doing it. Of course my parents were a bit surprised since I hate to fly but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Either way I am excited by this!
But we all realize I will probably back out at the last minute... no, fuck that, I am seriously committed to going.
Summer 2010 will be amazing! Or at the very least just not as lame as this summer... I can hope anyways.
