Title: Alone
Word Count: 162
Pairing: Yesung/Soyeon
Rating: PG
Summary: You can’t always get what you want and sometimes you just have to deal with the pain.

He tries to keep from meeting her gaze, staring at the floor instead. Soyeon doesn’t seem to notice him though, paying far too much attention to how her outfit looks in the reflection of the car door.

Jongwoon looks up, as does she and their eyes meet. He doesn’t say anything but chooses to wave, awkwardly at her. At first she stares blankly at him, but soon a smile spreads across her face, eyes scrunching into an expression that makes his heart beat skip faster.

She’s about to wave back when a car pulls up and honks at her. Soyeon turns around, the smile still on her face but clearly meant for someone else.

Jongwoon watches as she opens the car door and hops into the sportscar belonging to her boyfriend. The pair kiss for a little bit before the car pulls away from the curb and drives away.

Jongwoon’s chest feels heavy as he watches her disappear from his sight, yet again.

Title: Second Look
Word Count: 374
Pairing: Donghae/Jessica
Rating: PG
Summary: Opening our eyes to the person we thought we knew could bring about new thoughts, good or bad.

As much as he’s hated the way Jessica treated him (not all the time but at certain moments, like the time she made fun of the way he talked or the time when she embarrassed him in front of his friends), Donghae still loved her.

She was his first love and there was no denying the fact that he was afraid that if they ever broke up, he’d end up alone, feeling like he’d never find someone who could make him smile quite like she could.

Jessica felt differently. She thought things were perfect, that there was no reason to doubt the fact that they’d be together for the rest of their lives. She was too caught up in the whirlwind romance that came from a chance meeting on the first day of school their 2nd year of middle school.

She was a new student and he was the meek student council vice president assigned to take her around the school. He didn’t realize at the time just what trouble he’d get into by asking her out only to have her accept.

Now here they were; he was full of doubt, she was full of boredom. Donghae looks at her but she doesn’t seem to notice, her gaze elsewhere. Even the loud sigh he emits doesn’t spark her interest.

He reaches for her hand, marveling at just how small it was compared to his and how uniquely feminine it was (pale skin, long manicured nails, polished and colored with a light pink he was sure he couldn’t name specifically). She turns her attention towards his touch, a small smile appearing on her face.

Jessica looks at him, her smile revealing sparkling white teeth that he’s almost sure he hasn’t seen in a week. He leans over towards her, kissing her on the cheek before whispering “I love you.”

Something about that moment makes him feel more certain that this is the girl, the only girl he could ever love and the only one he would ever want to love. She knows the feeling because that’s all that’s been running through her mind since the first day they met.

They kiss, their lips pressed gently together and a warm aura surrounds the two of them.

Title: Breathe
Word Count: 423
Pairing: Ryeowook/Sooyoung
Rating: G
Summary: Sometimes all we need to do to get through a tough situation is to just breathe.

He prays that today will be the day, the day where Sooyoung finally notices him. He’s been told that if he wanted a girl to notice him, he’d have to do something to make her notice him. An attention-grabbing line was what he needed but when Ryeowook comes within just 5 feet of her, all thought leaves his mind and he becomes a tongue-tied and babbling mess that takes flight as soon as she starts to laugh.

Ryeowook doesn’t realize that it wasn’t a malicious laugh; she was merely lightening up the atmosphere with a small giggle and a question asking him what was on his mind. He’s scared, he has to admit, because there was a beautiful girl nearly in reach and he couldn’t say two words to make her realize that he was alive.

His mind full of doubt and his stomach full of butterflies, he attempts again the next day. His palms are sweaty and his throat has gone dry but he pushes himself, managing a squeaky-voiced “hi” and an awkward smile he doesn’t realize makes him more charming in her eyes.

Her friend decides to leave the two of them alone, prompting Sooyoung to ask him to sit down. He does, albeit hesitantly and with a shaky movement of his jelly-like limbs. She giggles, but this time he’s fully aware it’s a natural reaction to his awkwardness. He laughs as well, scratching his head and trying his best to make eye contact with her.

Ryeowook’s just as tongue-tied but more comprehensible words manage to come out and pretty soon he finds himself asking her what plans she had for later that day. Sooyoung tells him, putting emphasis on the fact that she’d had nothing planned and was in hopes of finding something to do.

It takes him a good minute before he realizes what she’s suggesting. He finds himself going red in the face and lowering his gaze so as to not meet hers. He can hear another giggle, and feels a hand on his. He stares at his lap, seeing the two hands touching, her hand pressed gently against his. He looks up suddenly and sees her smiling face.

He’s sure he’s lost all ability to breathe but pulls himself out of a stupor long enough to ask her out. He closes his eyes, expecting rejection only to be met with the word “yes”.

Sooyoung pulls at his wrist, prompting him to stand up and follow her as the two make use of the rest of the afternoon.

Title: Always
Word Count: 222
Pairing: TOP/Bom
Rating: G
Summary: The simplest words can mean so much.

Bom is nervous, feeling like maybe she shouldn’t say anything. Maybe the thoughts will disappear from her head and she’ll finally be able to think straight. But it’s not that simple; it becomes increasingly difficult every time Seunghyun smiles, every time he tells her how beautiful she is, every time he makes her feel happier than anyone else ever could.

She doesn’t want to do it. She’s too unsure of herself when Seunghyun realizes that she’s the tiniest bit distressed. He asks her what was wrong, but she doesn’t want to say it.

He can’t know, she thinks to herself. He’d never leave the issue alone, she was sure, and he’d definitely make sure she knew he did not feel the same as she.

But when he kisses her forehead and tells her not to worry so much, the words just slip out.

“I love you.”

At first Seunghyun’s noticeably stunned and Bom’s starting to wish that she never said anything. But before she gets the chance to run away, he says the same to her, ending with a deep but gentle kiss that makes her skin tingle and her stomach become full of butterflies.

She asks him for how long, not realizing how silly the question sounded as she asked it. He merely responds to her with a single word.

“Always.”

Title: Fall
Word Count: 450
Pairing: Wooyoung/Tiffany
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Walls come down when the right words are spoken.

Tiffany isn’t interested in anything more than a brief fling that would result in anything but heartbreak for either party. She wants something fun and without strings attached, but there was still a part of her that wanted to refrain from calling it “hooking up.”

Wooyoung wants her, wants to be with her and wants to be able to call her his. But Tiffany doesn’t let up, even after a few nights spent together and after hundreds of kisses and warm embraces.

He pretends to understand what she wants but ignores the words that sounded like “just friends”, “not exclusive”, “uncommitted.” He tries to convince her to agree to other things, but without letting on that he wants more.

They’re both aware of where they each stand and how the other feels, but that doesn’t stop the differences from making things more complicated than either of them ever wanted them to be.

She won’t smile, Wooyoung notices, even when he compliments the way she looks at that moment. Her arms are crossed and she’s sighing one too many times. He frowns in response, at first disappointed in the situation, but then he becomes angry, choosing to mimic her exact behavior.

This starts an argument, one that was worse than any other heated discussion they’ve had. The repeated issues of commitment come up again and again but their sides still stand and her walls refuse to come down for him. That’s when he gets the guts to tell Tiffany it’s over and that they shouldn’t be starting something that wasn’t going to go anywhere.

At first she agrees, pretending that it’s fine this way and that she couldn’t have thought of a better plan. But when she sees Wooyoung walk out the door and heading towards his car, no matter of resistance can keep her from running outside and calling him names.

Wooyoung shakes his head at her, telling her she’s being ridiculous and asks her why she’s acting the way she is.

That’s when her real feelings come out, shocking both of them but she doesn’t stop. Tiffany tells him why she didn’t want something more, about how scared she was of how he would treat her if she ever dared let him in. But even as the tears stream down her face, it doesn’t stop him from smiling uncontrollably as he walks back towards her, pulling her in to a tight embrace and listening as she sobs into his shoulder.

He tells her all the things she’s heard before but with a level of sincerity she was never used to. Something about it comforts her and the two stay standing, in each other’s arms and in each other’s hearts.

Title: Matter of Time
Word Count: 232
Pairing: Chansung/Fei
Rating: PG
Summary: Not everything is meant to last but they can last a little bit longer if you work hard enough.

They said it wouldn’t last; that the two of them were fools to believe what they had was real. He didn’t want to believe them, it was stupid. It was stupid to think that what two people as connected as they were weren’t meant to be.

He convinced her of the same, telling her it was destiny and that they were meant to be. She wanted to believe him, trying her damnedest to convince herself that what they had wasn’t just a silly little romance, clouded by the youthful hopes and dreams that would eventually cause them to become jaded and cynical.

It didn’t help that her friends were trying to tell her that she needed to get out of the relationship as quickly as possible. But she chose to stay, knowing that she loved him enough to keep others from having a say in just how she felt.

He told her that no matter how bad things would get, he’d always be there for her, saving her from her own demons. She told him the same, stating to him that no matter what she wouldn’t leave him, no matter how bad things got.

His smile and her warm embrace kept them together, even when things became difficult and they’d nearly lost everyone else around them. But they persevered, never letting the other forget how much they loved and cared about them.

Title: Smile
Word Count: 676
Pairing: Joon/Hyosung
Rating: G
Summary: A smile can say more than words ever could.

Her smile was what first attracted Joon to Hyosung. It was a cute, innocent smile that seemed to brighten up any room she’d walk into. It was cliché (although he was too smitten to notice) but that didn’t make it any less exciting for him, because he desired to make the girl with the beautiful smile his girl.

But Hyosung wasn’t just a girl with a pretty smile. She wasn’t an easy girl to catch, and Joon only found this out when she first rejected his advances with a snide remark, insulting his intelligence and genuinely making him feel pathetic. But what was worse was she flashed him that same heart-melting smile after stating her abhorrence of him.

Unfortunately the smile just became motivation for him to try and win her over. Even when she rejected him, time and time again, and even after she explained to him that she’d never be interested in someone like him.

Joon was relentless, convinced there was a mark of destiny upon her, fating her to him. This only made her loathe him even more, but when she smiled, it made him fall for her even more.

But upon the advice of a friend, Joon decided to change the game, not allowing himself to look at her, at all, even for a split second lest she flash her trademark smile and make him forget about everything else. It worked at first but when he stopped speaking to her, she became suspicious.

She couldn’t quite pinpoint just why she cared about whether or not he was throwing himself at her, but something made her want to find out why he was no longer paying attention to her.

She started with a cute facial expression and a simple question, but Joon wouldn’t budge. He looked away from her, ignored her failed attempts at warming his heart with her cuteness. She was a bit relieved since the cute act made her want to curse herself for destroying her own sense of pride.

She continued however, trying to get Joon’s attention with a few sweet words, but when he wouldn’t even acknowledge her existence, those sweet words turned sour in the form of thinly-veiled insults.

His temper got the best of him and pretty soon, the two were in an argument about how Joon was an idiot and how he wasn’t. She decided it better to have him ignore her than to speak to her and make her feel like her mind was weakened with every word listened.

Now she was the one ignoring him, crossing her arms and turning away from him. And he, being just as prideful as her, chose the same act as his. But of course, it was a lot more ridiculous-looking for him to start a cute act. His puffed cheeks and pouty expression did little to make her hate him even more, but rather induced the smile that Joon was trying so hard to avoid.

He tried to look away but her bright eyes and warm smile were hard to ignore, especially when they directed right towards him. Her scrunched nose and rosy cheeks made him stand awestruck, in a stupor that she was so used to him being in.

She laughed daintily, and remarked on how dumb Joon looked with that expression on his face. The shock wore off and now he too was smiling, close-mouthed but just as warm as she was.

Now it was Hyosung who was trying her hardest not to be sucked in by the bright aura that was currently exuding from Joon. He noticed, finding it odd but the thought popped into his head and pretty soon he was teasing her, remarking on how cute she looked when she blushed.

She batted his hands away and tried running away from him but she never got far and part of her knew it was better to have Joon by her side, even if he wasn’t trying hard enough to be subtle about his feelings. But then again, at that point, neither was Hyosung.

A/N: From what I understand, a drabble can be anywhere from under 100 words to just under 1,000 words, which is good news for me since none of these have a distinct word count that renders them as anything but drabbles! That being said, I'm in a fluffy mood (obviously) and I've been meaning to write more het fics lately. The pairings are kind of random (some are hardcore OTPs and some are just pairings I ship in passing) and in some cases, these are my first tries at fics for these particular fandoms! I hope they were okay, and if you read all of them, then I applaud you since they're kind of all over the place.

tl;dr I wrote het drabbles omg
