Eunhyuk walked into the dorm living room, unaware that Donghae was already in there, watching a drama. He started to walk past him without as much as a glance when he could hear a small sniffle coming from Donghae. He stopped and looked at him, seeing tears streaming down his face and a hand covering his open mouth.
Eunhyuk sighed. He was used to it but that didn’t make any less of a frustration for him. He continued making his way through the living room, completely exiting it, only to return a few minutes later, tissue box in hand. He stooped down next to Donghae who was sitting on the floor, and began to wipe his face with a tissue he took out of the box.
Donghae stared at him, no longer trying to wipe the tears himself. He looked at Eunhyuk curiously, not even bothering asking a question, because he was too wrapped up in his emotions to think clearly.
Eunhyuk stopped wiping his face and looked at him, intently, noticing his confusion and choosing to combat it with a simple truth.
“I don’t like seeing you cry.”
Donghae choked up a bit, swallowing the rush of emotions that led to his tears in the first place. He looked at Eunhyuk and asked him why he didn’t want to see him in that state.
“When you cry, it makes me want to hug you until the tears stop.”
Donghae gaped at him, prompting Eunhyuk to roll his eyes, seeming embarrassed for having revealed that much about himself.
“Don’t look at me like that! With those big puppy-dog eyes and that cute little pout-JUST STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT BEFORE I PUNCH YOU!”
“Aw, Hyukkie, you’re so cute. I could squish you!”
Donghae reached for Eunhyuk but he moved away quickly, standing up and attempting to run out of the room. Donghae pounced forward trying to grab his legs and screaming, “HYUKKIE, LOOK, TEARS! HUG ME SOME MORE. MAKE THEM GO AWAY.”
