I just put on The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. I loved the books, so I fully expect the movie to have bits that I hate. On the other hand, I'm still pissed at Douglas Adams for what he did to Arthur and Fenchurch. So I'm sorta okay, this time, with a movie adaptation that mangles the book.
Yes, I know being mad at a dead author over people who never existed in the first place is just a wee bit irrational, but there it is.
I imagine a therapist could get at least two or three billable "A-ha!" moments out of this, but I like my neuroses, and I'm keeping them to myself* until I can figure out a way to make them profitable.
*Except for posting them on LJ, but nobody reads LJ anymore anyway, so it's the next best thing.
