a dream
Overslept last night but had an awesomely inventive dream in the process. I was making a movie about a plague of vampires who instead of drinking blood have to eat gold. In the first scene there were a man and a woman in bed. She was still asleep but he was quietly gathering his clothes from the floor and getting dressed. As he left he slipped a gold wedding ring off her finger and swallowed it. Later gold was becoming scarce and there was a scene where soldiers were trying to defend the Tower of London against an onrushing tide of vampire hoards who were trying to get the the Crown Jewels (an unearthly mist had descended and they were firing into it, but nobody could see what was happening and someone said, "f**k, they're inside the perimeter" and someone was shouting "fall back! Fall back," and they were trying to regroup and re-position themselves inside the Tower itself, but it was already too late. It's not very realistic that the armed forces would be unable to defend the Tower of London against essentially unarmed civilians, but it made a great image). Anyways, just had to get that down...
