Thank You is all it takes

A sincere Thank You to all of our nations veterans.  Thank You seems so simple, and yet it's all it takes to let a veteran know that you appreciate the fact that they answered the call when their nation asked.  They went and did their job, even when the nation at large was not supportive of the action they were/are involved in.  Whether they answered a draft notice or joined up on their own, they went through tough training, endured harsh conditions, and fought so that we can enjoy the safety and freedoms we have today.  In short, they did what it takes to be a hero:  they showed up.

lf you know a veteran, take a few minutes to call them today and thank them.  If you see a person in uniform, stop them and say thank you for their service.  They chose to serve so we didn't have to do so.  They chose to serve for those who couldn't.  They deserve so much more than we can ever give them, but a "thank you" will do for them.  I know, because I love a veteran, and "thank you" is all he needs.
