Hey, maybe I DIDN'T kill puppies in a past life.....

This weekend was just freakin' awesome.   It begain with a trip to the Queen City (no, not Las Vegas, Charlotte).  On the way there, C and I stopped by Hickory to visit Fargo Friends Ned and Lori and the girls.  We had a great time talking and having coffee.  C enjoyed playing "stakeout" with A, which leads me to wonder if I'm letting her watch "Chuck" too mucn on TV.  Just kidding.....   Then it was on to Charlotte, where Bill and I arrived literally within 10 minutes of each other (he was driving down from VA).  Saturday Bill took his dad out for a ride in the new truck, which he now has all blinged out with his dogtags and Cavalry spurs...now he just needs his Cav lisence plate....'cause, remember kids, if you ain't Cav, you ain't....

Satuday was also the buying of the laptop, which excited me as much as the truck did Bill.  I am so glad to be connected with the world again.  Also, I was VERY glad to see the kitties again.  Holly has enjoyed her stay with Bill's parents, but Sassy has been hidden away pretty much the whole time.  She was glad to see us, though, and she slept at my feet each night we were there.  I'll be glad when we are back in the house and can have our cats back home.  And speaking of.....

Bill called me Monday morning, as soon as he got back in his office in VA.  He had recieved a call from Mona, our infamous renter.  Seems like she got on the ball and MOVED OUT of the house this past weekend!  What?  Who?  What?  YAY!  C and I cut our trip to Charlotte a bit short (though we still went to the White Mall where I bought part of Bill's birthday present and some Pink Sugar lotion and body spritz for me...'cause let's face it...you gotta have your priorities).  We arrived back in Kingsport last night.

And to continue the Era of Good Things, I ordered C's homeschool curriculum last night.  I wound up not getting the Calvert curriculum.  Instead, I went to www.learningthings.com and created my own curriculum of grammar, American Government, reading comprehension, math, science, health, and art.  I did this for about 40% less than Calvert, and I like my choices better.  Go me and my bad self.  Speakingof C, she got her initial test results back from Sylvan and she is SEVERAL grades above grade level in everything but math computations, and she is ON grade level for that.  My kid rocks

Tomorrow I'm off to the chiropractor in the a.m. to see if anything can be done about my increasingly painful back and left hip.  Then it's off to the power board to get the electricity turned on in the house.  Then I have a massage at 3 and a early dinner with Sis. Cool.
