Back in The Old North State...
The weekend in Tennessee was very productive. Chelsea got to see my Mom and spend the night with her, while Bill and I worked most of Sat. evening cleaning the house and throwing the rest of unwanted items away. We got an amazing amount done, and now the only job that remains to be done is for Bill to sort through his National Guard stuff in the third bedroom and get it taken to the armory. We should have the place ready to rent by the end of July. We are not even trying to sell, because the market here is dead.
After cleaning the house Bill and I went back to the hotel and collapsed. It was nice to have it be just us for a change. Bill has traveled so much lately, and I have been with Chelsea 24/7, so it was nice to have him all to myself and to NOT watch Toon Disney on the TV. The only down part to the weekend was the trip back over the mountain this afternoon. For some reason I got REALLY sick: nauseated with headache. I rarely get carsick, so the only thing I can attribute it to is the hamburger I had at BK before we left Tennessee. I've not been eating a lot of heavy food of late, and apparently my stomach did not approve. When we got home I collapsed for over an hour, hence my being up at 12:30 a.m.
Tomorrow C and I will hit the pool. I have missed the pool these past few days. I will also attempt to get pictures placed and hung (with Bill's help) this week, since Bill's parents are coming to visit on Saturday. Bill, Sr. has seen the place, but Emily has not. I'm hoping since we are only an hour from Charlotte now that they will come visit more. Yep, I actually LIKE my in-laws. My MIL is the most non-judgemental, kind person on the planet. She will tell you her opinion, but never insists that it's the only one or the best one.
I am sitting here sipping sparkling white grape juice and watching Fox News. It's relatively quite, and I am a happy camper. Oh, and I had pancakes for breakfast today. Could life get better? So, what's shaking LJ?
