Cars are great for moving
I ended up taking this morning off work so that I could finish packing. Worked later than I usually do for an evening event. After work I waited 40 minutes for the bus. With the hour ride time plus the15 minutes walking time it ended up taking way too long in my opinion. For one thing the bus sure beats walking even if it does take almost two hours to go less than 10 miles.
After I arrived home I loaded the van with a load of stuff and took it over to the parents house so the moving would go faster tomorrow night. By the time I was finished unloading it was 15 minutes till midnight, and the last bus had already passed. Taking into consideration that it had already been a long day I was not looking forward to the walk. I just wanted to go home and go to sleep. Ended up getting home at 1:30 in the morning.
So far I have not given up anything due to the lack of having a car. It just takes A LOT longer than if travailing by car. By the way gas was back up to $2.99 today. Great time to ditch the car!
