Shawn has taken care of absolutely everything. There are flowers and drinks and different types of music. There is food and loads of pineapples. Shawn returns the hug eagerly, beaming.

"This? This is... it's..."

Oh.

It's..." His grin turns in something embarassed. "It's, uh, it's my anniversary."

Wow, this is really harder than he thought. Not that they have any obligations with each other - after all this totally no bounds is the thing that makes them get along so well... but still, Shawn doesn't want her to think he's that kind of guy. He doesn't think she will, at least he hopes she won't because he's pretty sure she's smart and witty and might even see through all this. Not that he can tell her what's going on, though.

"But, I mean, we're cool, right? This isn't a problem for you? Because if it is I must assure you that-" Jeez, no, he can't do that.

"Look," he starts again in a low voice, quickly looking to the left and right, a slightly troubled expression on his face. "I know this must be very much like an Alias episode. Not that I watch Alias. But I could imagine the episodes are a little like this. The point is..." he tries getting back to the subject, dropping his voice even more to a whisper "... that I can't talk right now."

He gives her the cute look. "Just... don't think bad of me? Because I'm not a mean cheater or something. Besides, I know Gus has slept around as well and we both know we have. It's... it's just a little complicated. Gus is my spouse, by the way. Do you want to meet him?"

Anna's brow furrowed as she tried to process what he was saying, and considering she didn't have a lot of the details, just that Shawn was married, and this was an anniversary of some kind. She could work with this. And she had a feeling there were mitigating circumstances. Which he could talk about later? Hopefully?

"Sure," she nodded. "I'd love to meet Gus. Just -- explain things to me when you can talk?"

Shawn exhaled with relief, his grin instantly back in place. "Promise. You're the best!" He gave her another quick hug and linked arms with her, beaming. "Also, you have to try the pineapple punch. I made it myself and it's awesome."

He lead her over to the snacks and drinks, looking around for Gus.

Anna got herself a cup of said punch with a grin, and continued to look at the different food available while she spoke. "So how have you been?"

"Can't complain," he returned the grin. "Help yourself, by the way, eat, it's way too much to stuff it back into the freezer. We've been solving some cases, there's a pin-ball machine in the office now, which you should totally check out later... Travelling has been a little low lately but I'm determined to make some road trips this year and ohh there's Gus! Hang on! Gus!"

Shawn waved until Gus noticed him and made some frantic gestures that, hopefully, were incidating 'Dude, get over here!'.
