Shawn doesn't like bad moods.

They're discouraging, boring, nagging little bastards and they totally mess up his karma, at least as long as there is someone he can tell about his karma, which isn't the case right now and that increases his urge to frown, because it keeps him thinking about why he has a bad karma, or rather why he is in a bad mood

Slumping back into his own chair Shawn grabs a magazine, leafs through it, finds nothing of interest in there, scowls and tosses it away. It flies high through the air and he watches it, still bored, annoyed almost.

That is until Gus choses this exact moment to enter the scene and walks right into the trajectory.

Shawn blinks. "Dude. Nice timing!"

Shawn catches the pony and frowns at it. "Dude, this is scary, because it's not mine either. You think it belongs to Dad? That would be so creepy."

"I don't care," Shawn growls, grumpily glaring at the pony. "If he wants it back he can come around and pick it up. That would be a nice change in patterns, wouldn't it!"

Shawn doesn't want to dive deeper into the subject. Honestly, he just wanted the chisel and then get on with his plan, with or without Gus.

But the pony did it.

Shawn takes to it like a duck to water, flipping paper balls against the pony. The pony stares back, unaffected, which isn't fair.

"I mean, I just can't believe we had that talk again! It's not like we had it..." He stops and thinks for a moment. "... seventeen times before! No, wait, eighteen, eighteen times before!"

"A chance to see me? Gus, we had the academy talk!" Shawn complains, his voice turning whiny. "I mean, what is he thinking! You'd think after all those years he'd finally come to the conclusion that this is a thing that's absolutely. Not. Gonna. Happen!"

"What? Yeah, that too. But I mean, academy? I'm too old for academy anyway!" He frowns and looks over at Gus for a moment. "Right?" he asks. "I am, right? Because right now I can totally see this man writing down my name for application or... I don't know! Maybe he's hitting some very be-lated mid-life crisis or is PMSing, I seriously don't know, I just, let's watch some DVDs, alright?"
