today in psychology Mr. Hallett was talking about how when babies are born..they live on a 25 hour day instead of a 24 hour day...so thats why they always wake up in the middle of the night..they have to adapt to 24 hours...and he was saying how alot of ppl wanted to know if other genes get passed down from generation to generation then how come

katie psychology is looking at it from a nonreligious point of view because if they were to start talking about sin you know that all anyone would do is start bitching about how its bringing religion into study. im not trying to be mean but just because you think that being gay is a sin doesnt mean that everyone has to think the same way, and i know you're not trying to make everyone think that, but bringing religion into this is totally innappropriate.
but thats just my opinion

psych has nothing to do with religion. its a class on a scientific study, not a theology class.

Why is it that it's ok for you to be offended by Katie's religion, but it's not ok for her to be offended by evolution?

im not offended by katies religion first of all, seeing as i went to women of faith with her..i would not have gone had her religion been something i was offended by. But had you been in the car with us that weekend on our ride up there, my religion was questioned very much...not in an attacking way, just in a way to learn. and that was simply all i was doing...actually answering questions that to be honest with you, back then i did not have the understanding that i do now to give complete answers.
I as well hate evolution, but its part of psycology...i did not say she cannot be offended by it, i am...i was simply saying there not saying it in a way to offend you in class...its in a way to show different beliefs and way the human brain is working.

don't be too quick to judge...just because someone claims Christianity does not mean they havn't looked into both sides of these debates. Judging things by God's Word doesn't neccesarily equal a closed mind.

And if you believe other things in the Bible, then realize you can't pick and choose what you want out of God's Word. Take it in totality.

If you want refferences on homo-sexuality, then I can get them to you.

im not picking and choosing! im saying that homosexual ACTS are wrong, yet BEING homonsexual is not because it is something out of your control. im saying judging IS wrong in its entirity therefore saying a gay person is a sinner is JUDGING unless you've sat down and asked that person if they have gay sex.

woah hah...ok well first off..Nikki wasnt trying to be mean she was just inputting how she felt..and trying to help is all...and also i still have to say that being gay is your fault...you cant be born with it..unless you mean born with sin which led them to being gay..but either way they are still at fault..and besides i seriously doubt anyone who is gay isnt gonna act on it...having thoughts about the same sex is just as bad as acting upon those thoughts..i understand where ur coming from kendall..you read all these scientifical reports on genes and such..but do you really know that its true..wheres the proof? i mean can u truly trust an imperfect man who you dont even know...wouldnt you rather trust God's word which is holy and just..All i know is if Gods word says it i believe it..you cant just pick and chose what you want like Nikki said..

First off with my beliefs (which is what this all boils down to, everyones own individual beliefs and interpretations of the Bible...which is why we have the many religions we do) everyone is born with sin, hetero or homosexual; you are born with Original Sin.
Second off, how is AT ALL having a thought as bad as the action? hah are you to tell me, that having a thought of having sex, or a dream of having sex is as bad as actually having sex? in health class in what...8th grade they explained that in puberty boys have dreams about that all the time, (i think everyone remembers that day of there health class lol) but are you then telling me that because of that dream or thought they have now committed a sin just as bad as going out and actually having sex? lets think about that, come on

Christians are NOT called to ignore sin, but rather to deal with it on biblical grounds. I'm not 'jumping' on you at all. There's no reason to be so abrupt with me.

Do you have anyone gay in your family? Have you ever watched someone who is a homosexual adult or even teen grow up? Im begining to doubt it. The evidence would be the fact that they've found people who are homosexual to be missing a chromosome. Kind of like X & Y versus X & X chromosomes (the difference between being male and female), or like having 2 X's and a Y chromosome (Turners Syndrome) Im not going off someones word, Im going off the study of test after test. I would call it Truth
and i agree alot of ppl would complain if we brought religion in it
but there are also going to be ppl to complain about evolution or theories
the only reason religion isnt taught in schools today is becuz it 'offends ppl'...well talking about things like this and evolution, offends me..so i see no wrong in procclaiming what i believe..
Not everyone is going to agree with every lil thing
