Harry is a barrister who works for the government, Draco's a fading Quidditch star for the Cannons and they're mostly gracefully edging into their forties. This is Epi-compliant. Thing is, it's only two years to go till it's safe for Harry to come out. But two years is too long, Harry learns. He learns slowly, he learns quickly. He learns...gladly.
This is a beautful fic, angsty in parts, sweet and gentle to the touch in others. It's populated by real people, people we the audience can understand. Maybe we have friends like this, or jobs like that, or we're in a pickle that's outside our fixing except by patience and guile. Maybe we can relate to the bittersweet lives of the ones who have to wait, who can't live their lives freely.
Maybe not.
Whatever. Still. A marvellous fic, with every aspect of canon character intact and completely believable. This is another truth, in a way, in the realm of all our fondest possibilities. Please do enjoy.
