Oh my god I used to write such long existential-crisis-style entries. I can't bear to read through them now.
In my last entry, I mentioned I was about to see a specialist about my teeth. Not a lot was accomplished, but he recommends further treatment with my current dentist. How do I describe this . . .
Invisalign aligned my teeth and then brought them to the point that all the teeth contact with each other while biting. Except for that last part. Thanks to the retainer I wear now, only my front teeth contact for most of the day. The specialist wants me to get the contact issue resolved.
My current dentist suggested that it may be possible to get a few more aligners made, and possibly not at additional cost. I have a feeling I'm not going to get lucky enough to escape additional cost, though.
Last week I went to his office. Usually what he does is take a mold of my teeth and then sends the molds out to the Invisalign company, and then they scan them in and make the aligners. This time, an official Invisalign rep came by with something that looked like a wiimote. He stuck it in my mouth and scanned my teeth on the spot. That should speed up the process a little.
I figure wearing more aligners should at least make my bite a little better, and maybe fix my ear dysfunction in the process. Or it could make everything worse. Can't wait to find out which.
