It was a lot simpler than I'd imagined he'd pick out. When he chose to design our rings I was sure it was going to be huge diamonds and glittering emeralds. When he held out the small velvet box to me I was surprised and even a little shocked to see his choice. The ring was a simple band, not too thick but at the same time not too thin. The colour was a deep gold with a soft shine. No diamonds, no emeralds just a simple inscription.
