I found it really hard to write Harry, because I wanted to have that line between his love for Draco, but also his devotion to his family, and the ideals of family, including his connection to the Weasleys and the contrast between them and the Dursleys. I wanted to really convey how much Harry loved Draco, but still how utterly terrified he was of losing Hermione and the Weasleys.
I'm glad you liked the photo! It was one of the things that first prompted me to write this - it came fully-formed in my mind and I would love to try and illustrate it one day if I have time.
