I really enjoyed this and had no idea where you were going, which is always fun. Draco's 'voice' was perfect and the way you wove the dream into the ending was also well done.

Thank you for reading! I'm thrilled you enjoyed it. Draco's voice was strong in my head when I wrote this so I am happy that it showed through!

a wonderful story. i love the scene when Draco makes his father tell him that he loves him (so powerful!) and the way that Severus manipulates Draco in order to get him to take down Voldemort (priceless!). You've really got Draco's character just right, and, as Severus points out, oh what a self-absorbed fool he is!

The ending just kills me... so emotionally powerful. I enjoyed taking this journey through Draco's psyche, and I'm glad he made the right decision.

I can't tell you how happy I am that the ending worked for you! I know we had difference on that so I'm glad I could make it work. Thanks so much for all the beta work you put into this! *big squishes*

I still want my unconditionally happy ending, but ambiguous works for me too. :)

I had so much fun working with you and being on your team!

Oh, oh, oh. Oh. I got to the end, for the first time I understand the term 'flailing'. It's... wonderful. And horrible. And perfect.

I am not a fan of Lucius, but I certainly understand Draco's love for his father, and it is heartbreaking. I read the last section of this with tears in my eyes. It really is just wonderfully written, and I applaud you. Bravo!

*big smile* Your squeeful reaction to this fic is one of the reasons there's an extended version, you know that right? :)

I'm happy it moved you, sweetie. Thank you for reading and for being such a class act all the time. *loves*

Great job portraying Draco's tortured relationship with Lucius, all the more so given that Lucius wasn't really there. I especially loved the scene between Draco and Lucius alone--it left me breathless for an instant there.

:) Breathless is good in my book! XD I am thrilled that you enjoyed the story and you like my portrayal of the father-son relation btw the Malfoys. It's such a hard thing to capture esp in wartime. Thank you so much for reading and it was a pleasure being on the same team!
