Welcome to the
hd_inspired goes Back To School Prompt Viewing
With 204 prompts to go through, we thought it would be a good idea to give everyone the chance to read through them at their leisure, preferably with a nice cup of tea and slice of cake, and pick out a few that set your creative juices going.
Please note - you can’t make any claims before Tuesday 24th June.
How does it work?
The link below will take you to a listing of all the prompts. They have been Sorted (by a distant cousin of the Sorting Hat, hence we can’t guarantee it will be mistake-free) into groups and each given a Prompt Number.
The groups are:
Miscellany: Prompts that don’t quite fit anywhere else.
The Canon Years: Harry and Draco’s years at Hogwarts as students. This includes prompts taking place during Deathly Hallows.
The “8th” Year: These prompts take the boys back to Hogwarts to complete a final year after the war is over.
Post-Deathly Hallows: This is the largest group and has anything taking place after Deathly Hallows (except those in the previous group). It includes prompts that are EWE, epilogue-compliant, with or without next gen children, etc.
Take a note of the Prompt Number you want to claim and keep it in a safe place. Don’t forget that when you write/draw the prompt, it must include the three Additions mentioned.
Remember, no claiming until Tuesday 24th June!
Art or Fiction?
Each prompt can be claimed once for art and once for fiction. There are some prompts that have been specifically written with art in mind, but if an author feels compelled to write them, this is allowed.
Claiming
Claiming will be on a First come, First served basis. We’ve debated long and hard about when the best time for this would be, but to be honest whenever we picked would end up difficult for some areas, so apologies in advance if you are in one of these area.
Claiming opens at 2pm UK time on Tuesday 24th June. This will be:
1am Wednesday morning in New Zealand
11pm Tuesday in Australia
9pm Tuesday in Far East
3pm Tuesday in Germany
9am in New York
6am in San Francisco
You will be able to claim a First, Second and Third choice. If no one has already claimed the first one, you get it, if not we’ll check the second and third. We’ll let you know which one you’ve got.
All claim posts will be screened and you will need to give:
• The Prompt Numbers.
• Whether your claim is for art or fiction
• An email address that you check regularly so we can get in touch with you.
If you are the first person to claim that prompt, then it’s yours. If not, you can choose again. We will let you know by replying to your post.
And now ... on with the Viewing! Apologies for the delay!
