Wow! The ending ... so ambiguous ...

The snippets in time made the story feel disjointed, adding to the mood of their assignment, their life undercover. I like how you left to the very end the fact that they did receive the call from the Ministry, and that they knew they had three days left to respond. No fear remaining that they would be hunted because of miscommunication.

Now, what will their decision be?

amibiguous endings are my favorite type of endings! :D

i'm glad you enjoyed this and i thank you so much for reading. i think i'm going to do some MAJOR re-editing of this and repost it within a few weeks being that the comments were a little...lacking. obviously there are some issues that need to be worked on.

Wow, that was intense. And that sex scene? Manly seems like a good word to describe it, lol. I really, really enjoyed this. I could see the every scene very clearly in my mind. I'm going to fall asleep thinking about this tonight, that's for sure.

i'm so hard on myself with my sex scenes because the last thing i want to do is sound like a girl and have it from the perspective of a girl. but i love that you found it manly...that makes me feel really good!

thank you so much for reading this! :D

Very interesting story. I especially liked how well you captured the emotions behind the scenes and the tiny details in your description. It was a very captivating read. And I was waiting the whole time to find out why they don't want to go back and didn't get my answer! Or is the answer that they had really just gone rouge? ;)

i left the ending open so the reader could decide for themselves what would be the best course of action for their lives, considering what we know of the boys. one part of me wants them to go back, the other part of me wants them to stay away...it's a tough decision.

thank you so much for reading and i'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

Heh by the time they decide to go back, they'll be used as target practice for the remaining Aurors. :D

Wow! I like the premise of them being Elite Aurors and on their own. It was interesting that they didn't want to return, even though the mission was over and I'd love to have known the reason for that. The snippets into their lives as Elite Aurors were captivating. I snickered at the restaurant scene, in particular. Thanks for a well thought out gift. *hugs*

you are very welcome, and i can't tell you how relieved i am that you enjoyed this. i've been stressing over this since the middle of the first week of the fest. i know this wasn't what you requsted, and i wish i could have written you a tailored fic with everything that you wanted. i kick myself sometimes for not being able to do that for you. and seeing how few comments have been left, my fears of providing the worst fic of the exchange have started to come true! :D

but what's important to me is that you, as the recipient, enjoyed this, and i'm glad this was able to give you a few chuckles.

so happy holidays sweetie, and enjoy the rest of the fics! *hugs back*

Really, you need to stop beating yourself up over this. I'm very easy to please. You didn't kill anyone off or toss in any of my squicks, so it's all good.

I think all of the fics posted after about the 10th, got a bum rap in the comment department. At least I like to hope that's why my did rather dismally.
I've not yet decided if I will actually post mine, there are several things I need to work on before I would post it - so I understand wanting to re-edit.

Please do let me know when you repost. It's a lovely story and although I don't think it needs it...I'll be most curious to see what changes you make.

Thanks again for the gift.

Awesome story. I love the intricacies of the wizarding government you created post-voldemort. I love the boys and their partnership/relationship and how passionate, comfortable, and determined they are to be together. But I especially love the little details like, Hermione dropping the books because her baby kicked and Las Vegas being almost entirely a wizarding district. Very well done!

why thank you! i had fun coming with those ideas, and i swear the idea of vegas as a wizarding district came to me as i woke up one morning! it just made so much sense, you know? :D

i'm glad you enjoyed this and thank you again for reading.
