I really enjoyed reading this! I liked the way you weaved in the backstory here - it's there, in small bits, but it doesn't take away from what's happening at the present. I also liked both Harry and Draco a lot in this, and I liked the small details that played into the plot - things like Harry being an animagus and Draco being a Metamorphmagus (that's something I'd like to see more of in stories, actually).

Draco had imagined that Harry would have been something less... Slytherin.

This line, for some reason, cracked me up. It's just...I don't know. It really worked here. Sort of showed how Harry and Draco are more alike than they thought they were.

Great job! I will definitely be reccing this one next time I make a recs post. :D

What a thoroughly entertaining yarn, and spun so well, with just enough back story told through the narrative and not a massive info' dump at the beginning. I love fics that have new and interesting uses for magic. Maybe Auror Malfoy and Agent Potter can work together on another mission if the muse strikes you again.
