Interesting structure, I really liked how you developed their story within the story of this lost cardgame. Interesting way for the Harry/Draco as well (the poltergeist was a nice idea, especially), and wonderfully written.
Thank you! I really set out to try and take a unique approach. I'm really amazed at the response. Not many people care for character death or a story told through someone else's eyes.
Very nice design, I liked how Crowley had to go on a quest, the unlikely hero, and how the different characters he met helped him in exchange for a story - an idea taken directly from the best collections of fairy tales.
I also liked the way you idealized both Draco and Potter, at the same time making them less perfect, which helped to add the realistic touch. The black tie was hilarious, and Draco, breaking off in the midldle of the fuck - priceless! It's just how selfish he is.
I liked the way you made Crowley a third brother, the stupid one in all the stories, and how his bravery, a really Gryffindor trait, stood out.
I put a lot of care into this fic, and I'm really glad to know my taking a chance paid off. This is not how I usually approach storytelling, so I wasn't sure how this would go over. Comments like yours really persuade me to push past my boundaries.
Ridiculously lovely. I loved the method you used, with vignettes from the future. All your OCs were utterly marvellous (especially Peabody!) & the whole thing just flowed beautifully. Love Draco's snottiness, Harry's bitchiness (he made him sleep on the floor?!) and their eventual devotion. This was just what I wanted to read to-day - thank you for making it happen.
