OH. MY....! This is so utterly FANTASTIC!!!! I love how you were able to incorporate all the things from the actual books and yet weave them in a different pattern, one that included a decision from so long ago. And to see the marked difference in experiences in each of the scenes (which were so utterly believable) and the characterization was spot on and...*sigh in repletion* Just, it's so beautiful and yet elegantly sparse..! *adores*

Oh wow, that's incredibly beautiful, but at the same time so utterly heartwrenching. ♥

Your ending is certainly hopeful, but I couldn't help sniffling throughout the alternate scenes which showed the lovely 'what if' scenarios. *brave smile*

I particularly liked the scene where Draco made Harry badges for the Triwizard Tournament - his complaint about it taking 20 minutes to wrap, and implications of blackmail were cute. :)

Thanks for the gorgeous fic. *hugs*

This is so good. I love "What if" stories and this one with it's little flashbacks works very well. It's hopeful and sad in equal measures, and the way you've managed to convey the growing relationship in these short pieces is great.

The ending, at least, shows that it might work out.

*sighs*

I love your premise, and you told the story so beautifully.

As much as I realize it would kind of destroy the point of this, I can't help longing for a sequel. But I shall content myself with re-reading this and imagining that the future bring happiness to the boys.

Lovely job. anemonesque is very lucky.
