~Squeeeeee!! This is an absolute gem! It's warm and heartfelt, flangsty yet soothing, compelling and with an ethereal touch to it. It's such a lovely adaptation of the tale of 'The Elves and the Shoemaker' by the Grimm brothers! I love that the story was told from Draco's pov and his voice was so.... noble and humble and gentle yet prideful (the way he talks about his shoes and the fine craftsmanship that made them) and rather sharp at times. It's like... Draco's still himself, only just more mature and humbled. I love it! I love him, your Draco! I am utterly irrevocably in love with this humbled, noble, prideful man! And omg Harry! Dear sweet old oblivious Harry! I love that he held no grudges towards Draco and I love that he was so sweet and earnest in befriending Draco. I melted when he defended Draco in that pub against those nasty slurs. And the elves! Such cute, loyal and kind elves! My eyes watered, you know. Towards the end. When Draco struggled to make tiny little shoes and Tilly sang to him and petted him... and Harry apologised. I was this close to full-out crying and I almost did at the end. Oh, my heart has never felt so swollen with emotion! This is absolutely beautiful and I love every word of this! Thank you, mystery author, for writing this absolute piece of gem. *sniffles*
