There was so much here to love. Harry and Draco are... well, they're perfect. I love Draco's insecurities, and Harry's surprise but acceptance. I love, love, love Draco's reaction to finding out the baby is a girl. My God, how could you NOT love that? So... sweet, so oh, just... kinda all things wonderful.
I think having Al react the way he did initially was a perfect counterpoint to their own acceptance of the situation. I loved that they didn't immediately declare undying love forever; this felt so much more like 'them'. I even appreciated Harry's reaction to finding out that Draco had actually borne Scorpius; the story has a mature, thought out quality to their reactions. Life isn't all bunnies and roses, and you showed that. But you also wrote them as grown-ups, and I loved that.
The Nursery! What a charming scene that is! And Draco talking about 'hormones'. God, I wanted to squnch him. And who wouldn't get weepy over Harry going out and finding them the perfect home, the perfect nursery.
I like that they neither want a conventional marriage after the way that both of theirs ended; that rang true to me, too. I like that DRaco wanted to wait until Anabelle (and I love that name!) could participate and remember.
And the middle of the night scene, with Al and Harry and the baby. Aww, so sweet. I'll give Al a pass on his earlier behaviour. I think the idea of having Scorpius talk to him, to say now he'd have a sibling that understood his unique situation, was brilliant. Because truly, who else would understand other than someone who'd been there? And good for Al for being able to set aside his own misgivings in order to accept that this was, in fact, his sister.
They're a lovely family. And this is a lovely story. I feel like I got a wonderful gift for Christmas, and I thank you!

Sap that I am, I can never have Harry and Draco be upset about the whole mpreg situation for too long, and in this case, Draco has even been through it before, so it's not an entirely new idea to him. I'm glad you liked the twist with Scorpius...I thought it would be an interesting scenario and a different take on the epilogue. I also imagine that Al is closest to Harry and thus also the most upset when he hears the news (and likewise, Harry is clearly upset when Al is so angry with him).
I'm not that good with expanding the magical universe, but the nursery with its charmed and painted walls seemed like something that could really be a part of the hp verse, and it would be something that Harry would love, I imagine (and Draco, too, of course).
Maybe I'll write a little ficlet about the bonding at some point because I feel I'm not done with this verse yet. And I couldn't possibly end this without a little reconciliation between Harry and Al ♥.
