Wow! I really liked this! I loved the shifting POV's and timeframes. I thought it worked really well. I loved all the raw emotion. There were no easy choices for any of them here, just driving emotion, pushing them forward, pulling them back. Lots of great moments and imagery. I loved this in particular:

I don’t answer him; I just stand there, watching him watch me with his bright green eyes. His eyes are still green. I don’t know why I expected that to change, but somehow that fact makes everything so much harder.

This is totally going to be a story I return to. Great job mystery author!

Thank you so so much!

I'm very happy you enjoyed this, despite the somewhat unusual structure, and that you weren't put off by the title (because, you know, with a title like 'No Happy Ending' I'm surprised anyone read it at all! ;D)

Anyhoo... thanks for reading/reviewing and for picking out a part you especially liked! It's always nice to hear someone has enjoyed a certain part of my work - especially when it's also a favourite of mine. And I'm REALLY glad you could feel the emotion of it all, as that's something I was very keen to portray with this fic in particular!

So... thank you. Again! ♥

Strange and wonderful! I am not sure how you made the tense changes, POV changes and time shifts work but it really did. I choose to believe in the happy ending, not a perfect ending but one where they can come to be happy together.
Very interesting and enjoyable.

Thank you so much!

I'm really happy you enjoyed this, despite the unusual structure! I'm also glad you could envision it as a happy ending to some degree - that is definitely how I saw it when I wrote it. :D

So thanks again for reading/reviewing. 'Tis much appreciated! ♥

Okay, WOW. I was choked up by the end of this - the sheer strength of all their emotions was overwhelming.

Thank you, thank you, for how you showed Harry being genuinely torn; how he loves them both in different ways, so much that he's unable to choose. I really appreciated your portrayal of Ginny, too, as quite reasonably hurt and upset but able in the end to recognize/understand/sympathize with Harry's feelings by seeing the parallel between them and her own feelings for her children. Draco and the whole issue of his wand was a great theme throughout.

The structure works really well for the fic; disconcerting at first maybe, but it subtly emphasizes the confusion they all feel, and having to pay careful attention draws the reader in as well.

So all in all - SQUEE! *vbg* Thank you so very much, mystery author! I really enjoyed this!

YAY! I'm so so happy you liked this. As I said in my author's notes, it was a complete departure from anything I've written before and I knew I was taking quite a risk with the unusual structure (not to mention the scary title! ;D)

The first story I started to write after I received my assignment from the mods was COMPLETELY different to this, but it soon fell by the wayside. It was going nowhere and it didn't feel like I was writing it for you specifically. So, I went back and looked at your sign-up again. I noticed your request for polyamory (which is actually something I'm quite intrigued by in real life but not something I really like to read in fic) and a genuinely bixsexual Harry, and I was suddenly struck by inspiration ( ... )

This is so completely beautifully written. You pulled me in from the first word in spite of the warnings, and held me there. So much story in 4700 words, so much truth.

Well done. Really, really well done.

*g* Thank you so much, sweetie!

I'm glad you can see a happy ending, even without the sunshine and balloons and fluffy bunnies! ;D
