Fuck. Fuck arse bugger twat shit. This was a bloody waste of time. A waste of two months, and stress and pain and secret, clandestine studies holed away in his dungeon dormitories, muttering memorizations charmed against learning to get this. And what is this, anyway? He glared hard at the mirror. I’m supposed to be grand, he thinks. I’m supposed to be bloody majestic, powerful and all that. My scales were supposed to gleam in the firelight and my teeth were supposed to be capable of cleaving a man in twain with minimal effort. The way he is now, he’d be hard pressed to make it through a man’s little finger in a week. Draco is understandably pissed off.

Nearby, stupid cunting Potter is twitching his fuzzy little nose off in glee. There are round markings around his eyes that look like spectacles perched on his nose, and his black fur spikes horrendously around tall ears. Potter looks good like a bunny, he supposes, but his magnanimity does not-despite whatever stupid Potter thinks-reach to accepting someone laughing at him. Sulkily, he curls his long white tail around himself and relives childhood traumas. Potter shifts back, stretching and arching until he’s just an awful git on the cold stones, instead of a bunny. Draco’s stomach lurches and there is a disorienting feeling of flying when Potter picks him up, settling his small furry body against his chest. Draco bites at his fingers angrily, and Potter yelps, sucking on the blood. His chest shakes with laughter and Draco shudders, afraid of falling.

After Potter sets him on the floor again, Draco wastes no time shifting back to himself. “That was a bloody stupid idea,” Draco’s voice is shaky. “Cunting Muggly animagus transfiguration.”

“Oh, I don’t know,” Potter’s voice is infuriating. “I thought you were adorable.”

“I think you’re a moron,” Draco retorts, still tugging his clothes back into place. “I hate you, Potter.”

“I thought this was your idea, Draco,” Potter is trying to keep the laughter out of his voice as he reties his shoes. “Are you disappointed you didn’t turn into what you wanted to?”

“I want to kill you, Potter. Slowly and painfully.” Potter loops his arm through Draco’s and they walk toward the Great Hall. As they watch the new first years being sorted, Draco turns to Potter and hisses in his ear, “And you ought to be glad I didn’t turn into a dragon, anyway. I could have been taken by my baser natures and eaten you. Honestly, Potter, a bunny rabbit?”

“I’ll let you eat me tonight, if it makes you feel any better,” Potter smirks back, and Headmistress McGonagall gives them a warning look from the other end of the table.

“Okay,” Draco agrees, feeling his cock harden. “Then I’ll kill you. When you’re least expecting it.”

“Except I’ll expect it now,” Potter reminds him.

“Well, bugger.”
