LIST OF PROMPTS OF THE 2013 HARRY/DRACO BOOK FAIR (1-50)

Jun 03, 2013 11:49

PROMPT #1
Era: Hogwarts Eighth Year, or immediately after Hogwarts.
Additions: No mention of Bottom!Draco (past, present, or future). Harry has never had relations/intimacy with other males. Top!Draco/Bottom!Harry.
Scenario/Book: Rita Skeeter has published an article/book questioning Sirius's Will. Inside her article/book, Skeeter sites notable sources such as "Nature's Nobility: A Wizarding Genealogy," indicating that the true heir to the Black's fortune should be Draco Malfoy: the oldest surviving male with the ancient family's blood. Skeeter calls foul play. One of Skeeter's major arguments is Sirius was disinherited by the Blacks; therefore, he hadn't any claims over the Black fortune. Skeeter also claims that Dumbledore manipulated the situation in both Sirius and Harry's favour.
Maximum Rating: NC-17

PROMPT #2
Era: post-Hogwarts
Additions: Confused!Draco, Spooky sounds, and please... let there be twigs.
Scenario/Book: Xylomancy, Unfogging the Future, and Death Omens: What To Do When You Know The Worst Is Coming - These have become the tools of Draco Malfoy, Oracle-in-training. Draco is convinced he has the ability to divine the future. But he doesn't. That doesn't stop him from trying to convince everyone around him though.
Maximum Rating: Up to writer/artist

PROMPT #3
Era: post-Hogwarts, EWE or Epilogue-compliant is fine
Additions: pair of very elegant and posh shoes | Gentleman's-tooth-pearling paste | a cat
Scenario/Book: Harry accidentally reads Sonnets of a Sorcerer. Now he can only speak in limericks. Healer!Malfoy is amused. And he just may know a very unusual cure. [Guide on how to write limericks.]
Maximum Rating: PG-13 and up
Submitted by: vaysh11

PROMPT #4
Era: Up to writer/artist
Additions: Somber/Sad!Draco, secret notes, autumn wind
Scenario/Book: Draco no longer speaks or uses known, modern language. Instead, he seems to communicate using only hand-drawn pictures and logograms. Has he been cursed? Or is this a self-imposed vow of silence? Narcissa, at a loss, seeks the help of the one person she feels she can turn to who may help/get through to her son - Harry Potter. Hermione (or Narcissa) gives him Magical Hieroglyphs and Logograms.
Maximum Rating: Up to writer/artist
Submitted by: vlvtnightmare

PROMPT #5
Era: Up to writer/artist
Additions: Scheming, disguises, Fail!Draco
Scenario/Book: - Harry Potter now runs a Hippogriff Reserve. Draco Malfoy's out to shut it down. But not for the reason everyone thinks. [Draco cites from Fowl or Foul? A Study of Hippogriff Brutality and Harry counters with Handbook of Hippogriff Psychology.]
Maximum Rating: Up to writer/artist
Submitted by: vlvtnightmare

PROMPT #6
Era: Any post-Hogwarts era, or AU
Additions: Protective!Harry, cage, ... bottom!Draco is always a bonus. X)
Scenario/Book: There is someone who collects specimens of all magical creatures, many of them rare, near-extinct, and found in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. However, what's not found in that book, but more likely found in Nature's Nobility: A Wizarding Genealogy - and what no one saw coming - is the new addition to this collector's wish list: Draco Malfoy, as the last surviving Malfoy of his noble, pureblood wizard lineage. (The war & after-events have severely reduced the pureblood population, and many remaining known pureblood families have chosen to reveal previously hidden "impurities" in their genealogy, in hopes of escaping the post-war pureblood stigma.)
Maximum Rating: NC-17
Submitted by: vlvtnightmare

PROMPT #7
Era: Post-Hogwarts, EWE or Epilogue-compliant is left up to the writer/artist
Additions: (optional) Saving people thing | Cemetery or cathedral or castle or other old architectural sites | Prominent lickable collarbones
Scenario/Book: A gothic H/D story with vampires. I would love to read parts of Eldred Worple's Blood Brothers: My Life Amongst the Vampires.
Maximum Rating: NC-17
Submitted by: phoenixacid

PROMPT #8
Era: Either wartime AU or post-war EWE (with the boys in their 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, whatever).
Additions: Draco’s wand, at least one stop at a remote and physically dangerous locale, Slytherins!
Scenario/Book: Established relationship (though if it's wartime AU, it can be new/tenuous/ambiguous/unspoken etc.). Draco’s gone missing. Harry takes increasing risks to find him. His friends fear for his safety and/or his sanity. Harry sustains various injuries along the way but won’t slow down long enough to seek out proper medical attention, hence the need for The Healer’s Helpmate.
Maximum Rating: I like it all, G-NC-17. It’s completely up to you.
Submitted by: bryoneybrynn

PROMPT #9
Era: Post-Hogwarts, Semi Epilogue Compliant
Additions: Stay-at-home-dad Harry--in character but wizened up Draco--supportive Weasleys (Or at least no Weasley bashing, please.)
Scenario/Book: Moste Potente Potions. Harry is a widower and never remarried. Draco became a potioneer and came to Hogwarts to teach and become the Head of Slytherin house at both Headmistress McGonagall and Professor Slughorn’s request shortly after completing his studies. Professor Slughorn wanted to retire, so both a Potion Master and a new Head of Slytherin House were needed-but no one was willing to become Head of Slytherin House, which was still tainted after the war. His love is research and developing or improving potions, though. He’s a good teacher, but he only teaches and is HoH because he believes the Slytherins need him, which they do.
Lily is now a 5th year student and excels at potions, like her namesake. She is an outstanding potions student, but she’s too curious for her own safety. Harry finds a copy of Moste Potente Potions in her room during Easter holiday with notations and comments all along the margin in her handwriting, just like Snape wrote in his old potions book. He worries she might try to experiment with some dangerous potions or potions ingredients and writes to Draco over the Easter hols to discuss his concerns.
Maximum Rating: Anything is good, let the story go where it wants to.
Submitted by: momatu

PROMPT #10
Era: 8th year or post-war (I think this one lends itself to EWE and the boys on the younger side (i.e. 20s) but if your muse tells you different, you go for it!)
Additions: list three items/concepts/words to include in the story/art
Scenario/Book: After angering the wrong person, Draco is cursed with second sight. Being able to see the future (or many possible futures? constantly changing futures due to the influence of small decisions in the present? whatever you like!) isn’t all it’s cracked up to be - especially not when he keeps seeing Potter there... Amongst other things, Draco uses Predicting the Unpredictable: Insulate Yourself Against Shocks to try to figure it all out. Up to you if Draco is cursed because of war-related things or if it’s just for being an arse and treating the wrong person like crap one too many times. I can see this easily being angsty or humorous, take it in whatever direction you like!
Maximum Rating: G to NC-17, or left up to the writer/artist
Submitted by: bryoneybrynn

PROMPT #11
Era: Post-war, EWE
Additions: prickly, marshland, darning
Scenario/Book: A disguise and a famous boyfriend could help Draco get a job that doesn't involve a shovel. In Magical Drafts and Potions, Draco's found a concoction similar to polyjuice. When combined with something of Harry's, it'll make Draco look like Harry's ideal 'type'. (Maybe it's permanent, but he's willing to make that sacrifice? It's up to you.) His fears of winding up ginger don't come true, but he'd like a refund for the expensive ingredients, because the damn potion doesn't work; Draco looks exactly as he always has. ;)
Maximum Rating: PG to NC-17
Submitted by: mothlights

PROMPT #12
Era: Post Hogwarts, EWE (No Ginny bashing, please.)
Additions: Harry makes Teddy eat his vegetables--Draco gives Teddy sweets for lunch--observant, amused Ron
Scenario/Book: The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Harry adores his young godson, Teddy. Narcissa and Andromeda are working on repairing their relationship as sisters, and both Narcissa and Draco love little Teddy. Harry takes his responsibility as godfather very seriously, whereas Draco plays more of the role Sirius likely would have, had he had the chance. Harry feels jealous of Draco’s relationship with little Teddy-Draco’s the fun one, and Harry is afraid Teddy loves Draco more. Draco is jealous of Harry’s relationship with Teddy because Teddy loves Harry even when Harry tells him no, but Draco is afraid that if he says no, Teddy will only want Harry. Harry worries about what kind of influence Draco might have on Teddy and that he might spoil him, until one night he overhears Draco reading to Teddy “The Fountain of Fair Fortune” from The Tales of Beedle the Bard and answering the little boy’s questions about Muggles and wizards afterward. Harry’s feelings toward Draco begin to thaw, and then begin to grow, but he doesn’t believe Draco could ever return his feelings. He’s wrong, of course.
Maximum Rating: Anything is good, let the story go where it wants to.
Submitted by: momatu

PROMPT #13
Era: Post Hogwarts. EWE.
Additions: An experiment 'parchment book' in which Draco documents all his results, charts and all.
Scenario/Book: Weird Wizarding Dilemmas and Their Solutions. Draco doesn't have or need ringlets for nose hair, thank you very much, but it doesn't mean that he doesn't have his own ...curly assortment of weird dilemmas to contend with, 95% of which (+/-5% statistical error) seems related to one four-eyed git. This book has every solution for Draco, whether he is looking for it or not. And some, he just can't help but experiment, with rather fascinating results.
Maximum Rating: left up to the writer/artist
Submitted by: Pie

PROMPT #14
Era: Post-Hogwarts, EWE
Additions: Totally up to the author whether to include this--> in my mind I have Harry reading about Draco navigating the dating scene in the Muggle world, not knowing how some Muggles had issues with homosexuality, and always assuming, believing that he will find love and it will be visible and lasting just like his parents'.
Scenario/Book: Magical Me. Draco Malfoy published a book, Muggly Me, which documented his five years living as a Muggle as part of his probation terms for his war crimes. A very close, um, tribute to Gilderoy Lockhart's infamous Magical Me, it's caustic, tongue and cheek, and according to The Prophet, wickedly hilarious despite and exactly because of the hardships Malfoy described his egomaniac self go through. Harry wasn't going to read it, until he chanced upon a copy during a long wait somewhere. And he wondered if he was the only person who found it to be sad...too sad to ignore.
Maximum Rating: up to the writer/artist
Submitted by: Pie

PROMPT #15
Era: Post-War
Additions: a comedy of errors, plans backfiring, fluff
Scenario/Book: Broken Balls: When Fortunes Turn Foul. As a lark, Draco has his future divined. The oracle prophesizes that he will fall in love with Harry Potter. Horrified, Draco does everything in his power to change his future. But you can't really fight fate, can you?
Maximum Rating: NC-17
Submitted by: thusspakekate

PROMPT #16
Era: any
Additions: stalker!harry, notactuallyevil!draco
Scenario/Book: Magick Most Evile - There's got to be a plausible explanation for why Draco Malfoy owns a copy of the darkest dark arts books to ever dark, right? Harry won't rest until he figures out just what that is.
Maximum Rating: NC-17
Submitted by: thusspakekate

PROMPT #17
Era: post-war
Additions: petty rivalries lasting far beyond age-appropriateness, lots of bickering/pointless antagonism, workplace dysfunction, maybe even office!sex (pretty please?)
Scenario/Book: Basic Hexes for the Busy and Vexed - Draco Malfoy is a very important person with a very important job. He's got a tight schedule to keep, but somehow he can always manage to find a few spare seconds to hex Harry Potter.
Maximum Rating: NC-17
Submitted by: thusspakekate

PROMPT #18
Era: Any
Additions: an embarrassing situation where someone discovers H/D with the books, extracts from the series, the advice backfires but somehow the boys get together after all
Scenario/Book: Enchanted Encounters. Being rather inexperienced in matters of the heart, either Harry or Draco (author's choice) go to the library seeking advice on romance. All he can find is dog-eared copies from the Enchanted Encounters series. In desperation, he borrows them and tries to follow their example in an attempt to catch his man.
Maximum Rating: Whatever you like
Submitted by: birdsofshore

PROMPT #19
Era: Any
Additions: A friend who helps H/D interpret the dreams and realises what's going on before they do.
Scenario/Book: The Dream Oracle. Harry or Draco (your choice) consult this book in an attempt to decipher their confusing dreams. Guess what every dream points to when interpreted - a crush on a certain person.
Maximum Rating: NC-17
Submitted by: birdsofshore

PROMPT #20
Era: post-Hogwarts
Additions: I would love to see them in exotic locations on a hunt for the book. Perhaps forced into strange sleeping quarters (nudge nudge) - tiny hostel rooms, or a tent... Language problems, unfamiliar food and customs etc?
Scenario/Book: The Invisible Book of Invisibility. Harry and Draco work together as Aurors (or other job if you prefer). They need to consult a copy of this book for a case they are working on, but nobody knows where to obtain one. Their quest to find (and read) a copy leads them into some strange situations.
Maximum Rating: NC-17

PROMPT #21
Era: post-Hogwarts
Additions: Luna as Draco's employee, a range of book titles from canon
Scenario/Book: Draco is a dealer in rare books. Harry needs to procure certain titles (your choice). At first his requests seem quite genuine, but as time goes on, it appears he might be just making up excuses to come into Draco's shop...
Maximum Rating: NC-17
Submitted by: birdsofshore

PROMPT #22
Era: Up to author. Preferably with the boys under 30, though
Additions: Bottom!Harry
Scenario/Book: Draco is bitten by a werewolf. Harry, with the hero complex that he has, wants to help Draco, and consults 'Hairy Snout, Human Heart'. Draco is not amused by Harry's help.
Maximum Rating: Nc-17

PROMPT #23
Era: Eighth year

Maximum Rating: NC-17
Submitted by: LeontinaBowie

PROMPT #24
Era: Up to author
Additions: Bottom!Harry, humour
Scenario/Book: Draco and Harry have been fooling around for months. Draco thinks Harry is attractive, funny, and perfect for him. But any time Harry mentions a relationship, Draco can't help but bolt. Hermione confronts Draco and forces him to read The Hairy Heart: A Guide to Wizards who Won't Commit, only Draco ends up taking its advice a bit too seriously.
Maximum Rating: NC-17
Submitted by: LeontinaBowie

PROMPT #25
Era: Epilogue-compliant or AU
Additions: Bottom!Draco/ Protective + Jealous! Harry, nightclub
Scenario/Book: Albus Potter found the book "An Anthology of Eighteenth Century Charms" at Rose's house. The spell he was interested in made victim was trapped in his/her dreams and never wake up. Only the kiss of the one the victim truly loved by all his/her heart, the spell would be broken. Having a crush on Scorpius, Albus casted the spell on him, but his kiss didn't wake Scorpius up. Additions: Arthur Weasley being badass, sleep deprivation, the purpose of a rubber duck

The Ministry is in emergency mode, and ALL Ministry employees, including Harry and Draco, must help out to prevent the knowledge from spreading, working shifts 24/7. With the help of Muggles Who Notice, The Philosophy of the Mundane: Why Muggles Prefer Not to Know, and Home Life and Social Habits of British Muggles, they try to deal with the fallout and create new memories for all of the Muggles.
Maximum Rating: up to you
Submitted by: lordhellebore

PROMPT #28
Era: Post Hogwarts, though I suppose 8th year works, too.
Additions: Getting together!fic Creature!Fic (BUT IS IT?)
Scenario/Book: Draco (or Harry, though this seems like Draco!Logic) is convinced the other is a Veela, he should have realised about this years ago, actually, because, you know, it's not natural to be so obsessed about someone, to want to be noticed constantly by someone. Obviously it's all that Veela allure, it's not him or his fault at all. As if! So he'll check that genealogy book he saw once...Nature's Nobility: A Wizarding Genealogy, yeah, he'll get to the bottom of this, while keeping a close watch on him.
Maximum Rating: PG and up. :)
Submitted by: capitu

PROMPT #29
Era: any
Additions: rivals-to-friends-to-lovers
Scenario/Book: After reading Powers You Never Knew You Had and What to Do With Them Now You've Wised Up, Draco is convinced that he has a rare magical gift/power [author's choice as to what that is exactly]. Of course, he doesn't actually have that power. But, Harry Potter does.
Maximum Rating: NC-17

PROMPT #30
Era: Post-Hogwarts epilogue-compliant (so we’ve Next Gen characters; widowered or divorced for H&D, obvs).
Additions: Scholarly rivalry, academic politics, Black solidarity.
Scenario/Book: Teddy wants his late father to be properly recognised as the anonymous author of Hairy Snout, Human Heart. Teddy’s indulgent godfather is happy to lend his Auroral skills to the task of proving it. Hermione is sympathetic but wholly unpersuaded (of Teddy’s theory and, though she’d not say so, Harry’s skills), and is about to publish her own theory, attributing the authorship to another werewolf. And Draco … well, given a chance at Making Harry Grateful, Getting One Up on Granger in Scholarly Rivalry, Showing Off Intellectually, Pleasing His Favourite Cousin Teddy, Making Atonement to Remus’ Memory, Staying on the Right Side of His Formidable Mummy and Yet More Formidable Aunt Andromeda, and Closing Ranks in the House of Black (-Potter-Weasley-Lupin-and-All), what do else can he do but get in on this - whether Harry and Teddy care for his, ah, help, or not? (Ron just hopes there’s enough room behind the sofa with the sprogs when the fireworks go off.)
Maximum Rating: Up to the writer, surely.

PROMPT #31
Era: Post-Hogwarts.
Additions: Powder, duelling, and lashings of port.
Scenario/Book: Only in Wizardom…. An Anthology of Eighteenth Century Charms is meant to contain Charms from the period: not send the two of you back in time to it, damn it all.
Maximum Rating: Up to the writer, surely.

PROMPT #32
Era: Post-Hogwarts epilogue-compliant (so we’ve Next Gen characters; widowered or divorced for H&D, obvs).
Additions: ‘I don’t mind teaching the other little sods, it’s having your and my and our generation’s own ruddy terrors amongst ’em that’s driving me ’round the twist!’
Scenario/Book: Harry and Draco, as masters at Hogwarts, have learnt two things. Firstly, the way things are run owes less to Albus’, Minerva’s, and Filius’ tenures as Heads than to Dippet’s dead hand and dusty rules. And secondly, the answer to Skeeter’s Armando Dippet: Master or Moron? is, Yes. Both.
Maximum Rating: Up to the writer, surely.

PROMPT #33
Era: Post-Hogwarts; should prefer epilogue-compliant so we’ve Next Gen characters; if so, widowered or divorced for H&D, obvs.
Additions: Enthusiastically helpful (well, he means to be, at least) Arthur (and Dud, and the Grangers, and…); havoc in John Lewis; terse conversations with BT, &c.
Scenario/Book: Harry admits that Draco’s attempts to accommodate are adorable (even if, typically, Draco does it with the worst grace possible and lashings of vitriol); but Harry’s concluded that someone wants either to revise Home Life and Social Habits of British Muggles (and particularly the chapter on sexual habits) - or burn the damned thing.
Maximum Rating: Up to the writer, surely.

PROMPT #34
Era: Post-Hogwarts; should prefer epilogue-compliant so we’ve Next Gen characters; if so, widowered or divorced for H&D, obvs.
Additions: Shane Warne and the Ball of the Century (and why that is jiggery-pokery: http://youtu.be/PeeyNWl1W1s); spot-fixing; the Ashes
Scenario/Book: Auror Potter and Unspeakable Malfoy never expected their duties to involve keeping cricket clean, but Gagwilde’s Jiggery Pokery and Hocus Pocus, Goblins, and gambling syndicates make for strange duties and stranger bedfellows.
Maximum Rating: Up to the writer, surely.

PROMPT #35
Era: Post-war, preferably EWE, but epilogue compliant is fine as long as there's no infidelity.
Additions: velvet, gramophone, Luna
Scenario/Book: Draco's gone about as far as he can from his father's plans for him. He's out; he has a Muggle toaster in his flat, and he's a theatre director. But he's having trouble stirring up press and ticket sales for "Hélas, Je me suis Transfiguré mes Pieds (Alas, I have Transfigured my Feet)" by the terrible playwright, Malecrit, until he manages to coerce/blackmail/bribe the Savior of the Wizarding World into taking the lead role. If it works for you, I'd love familiar faces running around as dressers, makeup, set crew, fly gallery, lighting, and sound, and to see how they try to handle it with magic.
Maximum Rating: up to the writer or artist
Submitted by: mothlights

PROMPT #36
Era: Post-Hogwarts preferably, Post-War/EWE/Epilogue are all good
Additions: (optional) Near death situation | old dusty tomes | race against the clock
Scenario/Book: Dementors are among the foulest creatures that walk this earth. For centuries, they were thought of as soulless beings, born of out of nothing but tragedy and despair. If you've been Kissed by one, you'll be reduced to nothing but a living shell. But what if the experts and texts - Confronting the Faceless (Chapter on Dementors) amongst them - are wrong? When Harry and/or Draco were faced with this possibility and tried to fix it, did they take on something too big for them to handle?

I'd love for you to write about the reasons Dementors came into being and their needs to feed on happiness - that or how human souls aren't really consumed by these creatures so you can technically bring people back. (Ideas and plot scenarios you don't have to follow: Dementors were a cursed race/human once | The reasons they are taking souls and feeding on happiness is because they wanted to fill the void of what they've lost | Dementors breed by corrupting a human soul turning it into one of them | Draco's father was Kissed, Draco tried to bring him back and discovers something else in the process | Dark Creatures expert Potter and Unspeakable Malfoy have to work together when Dementors were breeding at alarming rates | What if Patronus Charms no longer work? | You can go anywhere with this!)
Maximum Rating: Left up to you!

PROMPT #37
Era: I'm good with anything as long as Harry and Draco are of or above the age of majority. :)
Additions: (optional) Some Merpeople could walk on land or speak human languages | Unusual delicacies from the ocean | Sea creatures as friends
Scenario/Book: Harry falls in love with merman!Draco of the royal Malfoy tribe. He must convince Draco's family that he is worthy of Draco by courting him the mer-way. Harry learns the merpeople customs from Merpeople: A Comprehensive Guide to Their Language and Customs. Let's just say that the book was more than a little outdated. (Feel free to tweak the scenario however you want)
Maximum Rating: Up to you!

PROMPT #38
Era: Post Hogwarts (EWE/Epilogue-Compliant/AU)
Additions: (optional) Poking fun at Year With The Yeti and it's author | Bickering | Sharing body warmth

Additions: No mention of Bottom!Draco (past, present, or future). Virgin!Harry. Top!Draco/Bottom!Harry.
Scenario/Book: After the disastrous ending of his supposed relationship with Ginny, Ron insists Harry consult his copy of, "Twelve Fail-Safe Ways to Charm Witches," in an attempt to see where he went wrong, and how to gain the favour of other witches. The thing of it is, Harry finds that he's the least bit interested in trying any of the suggestions provided in the book. Instead, he finds himself rather distracted by Malfoy, who somehow found out Harry was reading the book.
Maximum Rating: NC-17
Submitted by: fyernaice

PROMPT #40

One day, Harry or Draco walks in with a problem that (the provided solution in) Weird Wizarding Dilemmas and Their Solutions, Common Magical Ailments and Afflictions and The Healer's Helpmate couldn't help. Think the Wizarding versions of Foreign Accent Syndrome, Frégoli syndrome (seeing doppelgängers), Cotard's Syndrome (zombie delusions), Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome, Leukodystrophy (age-reversal), allergy to water, and the likes.

Scenario/Book: Now that house elves are free, Draco decides to try his hand in cooking. He chances upon a copy of One Minute Feast - It's Magic!. When things go all wrong like all things Draco these days and Draco is running around trying to save his arse / contain damage / destroy all evidences / all of the above, guess who happens to be there, laughing his head off at the doorway...

Harry is even more disturbed when he learns they are assigned to care for a dragon egg. They are provided with a copy of, "From Egg to Inferno, A Dragon Keeper's Guide," as a resource. Harry hopes he can survive the school year with the sarcastic git as his partner. Though Draco is insufferable towards Harry, Harry finds himself becoming drawn to the Slytherine when he observes Malfoy is actually very caring and protective of the egg when he thinks no-one is watching him.

PROMPT #43
Era: Post-DH (8th Year/EWE/Epilogue Compliant)
Additions: (optional) Discussion about the Astrology Tower scene (Does Draco know the truth?) | Pensieve memories
Scenario/Book: After the War, Severus Snape will be one of the names added to the Notable Magical Names of Our Time. Both Harry and Draco are approached for this project as they had witnessed and shared many important moments in Snape's life up till the time of his death.
Maximum Rating: Up to you!
Submitted by: phoenixacid

PROMPT #44
Era: EWE
Additions: Only one. I'm a sucker for a beach--if I could move anywhere in the world I wanted, there would be sand within feet of my back door--so if you could have Harry live on a beach somewhere, that'd be just the bee's knees. But it's entirely up to you. If that doesn't fit in with what unfolds in your little gray cells, crumple it up and toss in the bin.
Scenario/Book: Home Life and Social Habits of British Muggles--among other things it explains what electricity is. Harry and Draco have managed to build a friendship--exactly when, why, and how the friendship began are entirely up to you. Both are developing feelings of more than just friendship for the other, but neither has any idea the other reciprocates his feelings, and both are afraid if the other were ever to find out, he'd loose his friendship. Harry lives in a Muggle community in a ward-protected home. The wards are programmed to allow Draco to enter whether Harry is home or not. Harry and Draco have plans for whatever, maybe a Quidditch match?, but Harry is running late and arrives home to find Draco already there waiting for him. Draco is curious about electricity after reading Home Life and Social Habits of British Muggles in an attempt to understand the world Harry grew up in. Harry arrives home to find Draco investigating the inside of an electrical outlet he's removed the cover from in an attempt to see the electricity inside.
Maximum Rating: Anything is good, let the story go where it wants.
Submitted by: momatu

PROMPT #45
Era: Post Hogwarts, EWE
Additions: A Swedish Short-Snout dragon plush toy
Scenario/Book: Dragon Species of Great Britain and Ireland, Men Who Love Dragons Too Much, Dragon Breeding for Pleasure and Profit, or From Egg to Inferno, A Dragon Keeper's Guide--whichever screams, "Me! Me! Pick Me!" to you the loudest. Or, you could go all Hermione and just use all of them. Teddy Lupin has been crazy about dragons and flying his entire life, and the year before he begins Hogwarts, Harry takes him to the Annual Broom Race of Sweden (info can be found on the HP Lexicon). The route flown on the internationally famous ABRoS takes racers through the Swedish Short-Snout dragon reservation, so the trip incorporates both of Teddy's greatest loves in life. Unbeknownst to Harry, Draco Malfoy, who Harry hasn't seen or heard of since his trial in front of the Wizengamot, has become a respected Dragonologist on the continent and is--surprise!!--working at the Swedish Short-Snout dragon reservation.
Maximum Rating: Whatever, let the story develop however it wants to.
