“How dare he lay his grubby Muggle-lovin’ paws on me!?!”
In the Slytherin common room, Draco Malfoy seethed. Nursing a compress against the pale skin around his right eye, he stomped back and forth between the set of high-backed chairs where sat Pansy Parkinson and Blaise Zabini, leg draped over the arm of the chair.
Draco removed the compress and leaned into Pansy. “How bad is it?” he asked, pitifully.
Pansy tried to pretend otherwise, but her initial shocked reaction was all the answer Draco needed.
“I’ll make him pay,” he decreed.
Pansy knew nothing good came from Draco’s promises.
