Author's Notes: In which Snape finally reveals which side he's on, and to whom he is truly bound. I hope this still qualifies for this past week's challenge. Slightly edited because I wasn't completely happy with the first version.

Facing Voldemort renews Draco's determination, and Severus, still bound, picks up where Bellatrix left off. This is how you cripple an enemy. This is how you kill.
He disregards the self-loathing in Draco's eyes. This is how we survive.
Draco does not fail a second time.
But the rapture that siezes him when they corner Potter surprises Severus. Where did he learn that?
And as Draco's wand slashes the air again and Potter bleeds, Severus knows it's over. Doubly bound and with nothing more to lose, he reveals himself to Potter's disbelieving gaze as Draco, illuminated in green light, falls.
