Title: Vengeance
Author: turin_lover
Word Count: 100
Other Characters: None
Challenge: Food
Author's Notes: None, I think. Not sure where this came from, but I like it regardless. (Probably because I have this thing for the cave). I'm pretty sure the title explains enough of the backstory that's needed. You should get the general idea, even though it's open for interpretation.
__________

The cave breathes, filled with ocean water and salty air. Darkness covers and suffocates in an all-too satisfying way. Echoes of the humming tide fill the empty spaces.

The wall stands, silent and forbidding; finally you understand the feel of magic, the prickling in your veins like something alive. Your blood offered as food, devoured by stone, granting you entrance to the realm of corpses. Inside, the island glows green in the distance, soulless as it is.

Before your eyes flash open, you see blond hair glint in the water, white hands reaching out as if longing for human contact.

Author's Notes: I wrote this originally for hp100's "song fic" challenge, but wanted to post it here, too, seeing as it fits the challenge. Plus, it's more H/Dish than my last one.

The wave of summer washes over you and your body drips sweat and color, his sighs cool against your skin, soaking up the moisture of passion and what is left of your evaporating love. Muggy air coats you both and his hair sticks to his forehead like corn silk, his eyes ripe, abundant, and feeding you until you can take no more.

His nails against your thigh in ways you’ve never imagined, scraping out lessons you’ve never bothered to learn. Overcome by this, you can do nothing but gasp his name and watch as it’s devoured by the insatiable heat.
