Potter presses a hand to his shoulder, and blood slips between his fingers. Don’t look away, he says, and he holds out a palm, stained red and dripping. Draco does not look away.
There’s a press of palms against his throat, and thin, calloused fingers brush his jaw, his hair.
Close your eyes, Potter says, looking at him with broken glasses, fogged and streaked with rainwater and blood.
Draco closes his eyes. The hands tighten for a moment; let go.
Potter leaves a bruise, a streak of red across Draco’s throat, and walks away. Draco does not watch him leave.
