Love has always been a vague notion for someone like Harry; the life catered for him simply didn’t pave way for this opportunity
Hermione reckons that maybe Harry just hasn’t met the right person yet. Ron thinks that maybe Harry’s just missed his chance the first time round. Harry supposes he just doesn’t deserve it.
Harry’s hope wilts despite mustering an optimistic charade; it diminishes gradually as each day ceases.
In the midst of the final battle, he notices Draco has fallen beyond reprieve; he extends his soot-lined fingertips. Draco looks up at him in deliverance and Harry realizes that love does exist; he’s just not looking in the right place.
