Swords and Bayonets.
Right i know we are getting into the season of violence etc, but i am aranging a weekend of training for those of you interested in the art of violence in the 18th century.
As most of you know i train with the society for the study of historical swordsmanship and it's chief instructor Mr Mark Donnelly has agreed to provide us with his expert tuition.
The subjects covered will be Cutlass, Small sword and also bayonet work.
The venu will be at my sisters farm in Rochdale so weather permiting we can work outdoors and if it rains well i shall make sure the barn is properly cleared out so that we can work indoors.
I shall also try to arrange for a friend who dose professional film and photography work to make a DVD of this event, a copy will go to all who attend it.
For anyone who dosen't know this will be Wetern Martial Arts training most of what you learn will NOT be of any use on the re-enactment field but it willl keep you alive on a real 18th century battle field.
